just wondering....

she returned to the soap in November last year, and admitted in an interview, (she's back for 1 year) she signed a 1 year contract....

well, providing she hasn't signed a new one, then she's leaving in 4 weeks time?

3 more years of scams then
I hope with what is coming up, they develop Janine more. As she was in the early 00's.

Just done a bit of googling and the has been no official mention from the BBC about three year contracts for any cast member of EE, the only talk about seems to come from sources not connected to the BBC i.e ex boyfriend ect. Three year contract is someone's wishfull thinking, she may be on a rolling contract that may or may not continue for another year though.

It was reported on DS, I guess you can't always take their word for it.

I hope Janine stays around for a while yet, she's what I call a likeable 'baddie' I love to hate her! Charlie Brooks plays her to perfection IMO. She's not a one dimensional character and at times I even find myself feeling sorry for her - not often though!!

But did the article actually cite the BBC as the source of the story?

That is not official confirmation though, an ex boyfriend is all that is.

Charlie Brooks is loving being back, she's staying until at least 2012.

Have the BBC denied that's not the case either?

Oh dear - that's bad news.

There's lots of us haven't loved having her back.

Contracts are usually for a year with the prospect of a rolling contract for senior cast members, her contract is rolling, no one on the show will be offered a contract longer than two years at most because the show/funding to the present level may not be around in two years, no i'm not saying its being axed- its not, i mean due to budget restraints and the prospect that a new head of drama might see and want different things for drama and serials.

There called felxible contracts. Sign for 3-4 years with an option to leave after 1 or 2 or get axed after 1 or 2
