My partner and I were wondering if Aleshia was wearing an earpeice on Saturday ?
Her comments seem to have improved dramatically ?
What do people think ?

Hmm, and who, I wonder, would be at the other end feeding her the comments?

Arlene, perhaps?

Not only that, if Arlene is the mysterious expert behind Alesha's 'earpiece' comments, I wonder why she's lost her language proficiency, seeing that people are up in arms with Alesha's 'was' and 'were' fiasco.

I thought it was because she was allowed into rehearsals to see the dances before the live show. However, experience and time on the show, alone, should help her develop as a judge.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if that was the case.

Apparently (off topic I am sorry) but Alesha wasnt well during the judging and was often seen holding her stomach in pain during segments and during the scoring looked pale in complexion even tho she was wearing a substantial amount of make-up.

Nothing was released about whether this was true or not but if it was she must have done very well (as do all entertainers on live shows) for carrying on professionally as possible if ill.

I think my head is going to make rapid contact with this desk.

All the judges could be wearing ear pieces for all we know. After all, it's a live show and the gallery may want to be in contact with them.

Alesha may actually know some stuff about dancing and learning to dance considering that rather intensive course she did, taught by a world champion. Hell, I could give the same comments the judges do and most of my knowledge is picked up from watching the show. It's not brain surgery.

It bemuses me that people have to make up elaborate reasons for Alesha being better at her job and can't accept the simplest one - she's simply settling down, gaining confidence and finding her niche. She's done 5 shows now after all.

This is where I am on the Alesha situation, too.

But Brendan vs. Chicken has died a death too, so don't do that one.

I've lost count of how many times that has happened to me too on here recently. Nicely put

True, but you might do well to steer clear of the grammar thread

I was wondering if Tess gets her words fed to her I know she holds a bit of card but she doesnt have a pencil behind her ear or down her clevage to write anything down......or is there some busy little bee writing down what the judges said to pass to her just before the dancers appear round the corner if so I would love one day to see an arm appear with the cards just as the camera goes to the tesspitt.

I think it is rubbish and I thought the idea was rubbish when it was made last week too.

Well spotted! She's also told what marks to give and who to vote for in the dance off, so that the producers keep some influence over who stays in. They're not allowed to tell anyone though because of the gagging order.

Plus a little bird tells me that Brendan will be sacked tomorrow - not that little bird for obvious reasons, but you get my drift. Apparently Anton's orchestrated the move as he can't stand foreigners.

Think the panel is much better. It is a bit more lighthearted. The celebs are flogging their guts out on an entertainment show-Respect.

I know in dictionary corner on Countdown have earpieces but I would be surprised if Alesha wore one! I think the other judges would not be very impressed!!

Presenters on live shows often do have earpieces. It wouldn't be surprising if SCD judges had them too, but I don't think Alesha's said anything so far that seems beyond what she could have come up with on her own.

Arlene was the most obvious 'offender' in this respect and her 'quips' were so rehearsed it was truly skin-crawling.”

How is it a non sequitur?

If other judges have done something similar to what's been reported about Alesha, surely that makes it more likely that the story about Alesha is true.

However, merely preparing soundbites is different from using rehearsals to prepare, and while judges have occasionally mentioned seeing something in rehearsal (and of course judges who guest on ITT have often watched practice footage), there's been nothing that shows it goes further than that.

I think I've seen all the judges over the years wearing an earpiece and it wouldn't surprise me if they did; this is a live show after all and producers can't really rely on Bruce to wrap things up smoothly! I very much doubt someone is telling her what to say. If there is an earpiece there, it is linked to a shouty producer, not to a dance expert.

She was probably given a little bit of coaching after the first week but she's doing alright now, the more the series goes on the more she'll grow in confidence.

She was good on ITT with Craig and Len last week.

No one who is not that experienced & a first timer at that as a judge can be that "good" overnight both in delivery & particularly technically.

Alesha has got to be aided by someone through an earpiece...got to be..otherwise no way in hell she could have redeemed herself in 24 hrs, not even the following week where she could have at least more time to learn bits & pieces....but no we are talking "24 hrs"!!!

Just wrong.

I think Alesha is probably being scripted to some extent. My view is that her comments are a mixture of her own and someone elses from whom she has been receiving help.

God, u lot love to knock "Alesha". What with earpieces, grammar etc. She is a "real" person, she is not part of the "do you know who I am" mentality. She is grounded despite the popularity and fame. Alesha will always give fans her time, no matter how busy she is or what mood she is in. Alesha is fully aware that without the fan base she would not be where she is today. SCD did not bring Alesha in to replace Arlene. The paps are giving her a hard time but she takes it in her stride and there's Alesha still smiling. and being the consumate proffesional. How many of you watch eastenders, bad grammar used extensively, how many of you go to music concerts, extensive use of earpieces. FFS you lot ain't got a scooby do. Knock it on the head where alesha is concerned or watch another show if ya fink she is that bad, innit bruv

No i think it's you who is just wrong, can you even imagine what kind of pressure being on live TV is, let alone having to come up with a comment in 20 seconds or so, the first week was a settling in period and she is improving leaps and bounds , stop looking for excuses to slag her off when they dont exist
