I was wondering .. If you pre-order singles or albums from HMV or Amazon, do you usually recieve them a few days earlier than the actually day ? CDs are always out on Mondays, so do you sometimes get them Sat/Fri/Thurs etc ?

I've heard you do, but want to know for sure.

No. the shops arent sent their supply from the distributor until thu/fri (occasionaly it is tue)ldepending on their arrangement. The items are not set up on their tills/computer systems to be sold until the day of release.

My advise is to always pre-order from Amazon and not HMV, as there is often a lot of issues with stock getting into HMV from the distributor - particularly new releases. And dont even bother going to Asda ha ha

All the pre-orders I've made on HMV always came on the friday or saturday of the week before release.

I would definitley reiterate 'DO NOT GOT TO ASDA'. I pre-ordered the new Muse album, and didn't receive it until 5 days after release. I was not happy.

Yes, I've had dvds and cds from HMV, Amazon, and Play.com come a few days before the actual shop release date. That's the website, not the HMV shop pre ordered to collect.

I pre-ordered Backstreet Boys's new album, and it arrived on Saturday..but didn't get released until today...this was from HMV.
