She's practising being an air hostess in Easyjet when her presenting years are over and someone in the Beeb discovers not a single rational or intelligent thought has paso dobled through her brain in years and years.

That space up there between the dye job and her ears has been echoingly empty for some time and one day her battery will just run flat.

Tess is the Queen of Simper, the Queen of Posing and a complete dud at presenting. She is a simpering wooden waste of space and how she got a job in the entertainment business beats me. She reminds me of one of those northern "nudge, nudge, wink, wink" end of the pier comedians and would do very well in a show at Christmas - as the back legs of a pantomime horse.

And..... something else i noticed on the first show was the way she was talking to Brucie!...... when they first came on! it was as if he was a child!, and i thought then that 'she's getting a bit too big for her boots'!... it felt like she thought she was the number one presenter and he was just a 'has' been who didn't know what he was doing and she was the brains of the show!.... ...

I must admit I've never had an issue with Tess previously but she is irritating the hell out of me this year.

They do seem to contrive it that she says the word "couple" as much as possible...

Now, I'm from the North West and it stands out to me!

she just winds me up with all the simpering and gurning not to mention the stupid outfits they make her wear, thank god the fast forward button was invented.

The show gets shorter for me all the time. I turn the sound off when Bruce is on because I can't stand his jokes, and when Tess is on because I can't cope with her accent and again when Alesha is on because I find her comments patronising. On Saturday I turned the sound down because I couldn't cope with Andy Williams. That just leaves the three judges and the music and most of the paso music this week was dire (no criticism of the band just the choice))

You'd be better off going on YouTube just to watch the dances.

Right I'm starting on the dresses too. That thing she was wearing on saturday looked like it had been designed by a blind person, who had decided to stop halfway through, and didn't finish off the top half. She really needs to wear something nicer...it might detract from her wonky eye

To be fair, I don't think she has much say in what she wears - it's down to the beeb. I do agree though, that outfit was dire.

I thought she looked great on Saturday - dress, hair, the lot. Far classier than in some previous shows. Sorry to lighten the mood, I don't want to spoil anybody's fun.

Sorry just in one of those moods today, but I stick by my comment on the dress, I though it was shocking. It looked liked some sort of concrete shovel on top

Agree about her shape, it's just the dress I didn't like, but it wouldn't do for us all to like the same things, would it?

I agree that the dress itself was horrendous, but I think overall she looked a lot better than in previous weeks.

We watch because we like whining. Have you never heard the expression "I disagree with you you say but I defend to death your right to say it". I can't abide Ms Tess - but I love Strictly - it is a wonderful programme. We can't like everything in it and if some of us want to have a quick bitch - then it is our absolute right to do so. If you don't like these threads - you know the answer. I enjoy the show, I enjoy the threads, there are some very witty people post there. I love Sofakat's style and I find her posts very, very funny.

Has that answered your question katrinap.

Not in the slightest, but having read your answer I have the feeling it's not worth pursuing.

I have to agree with you there. I have got sick of all offensive comments aimed at Tess in the nearly two years I have been on DS. It was nice to see a few possitive posts.

I just do not get it. I think she looked really classy on
Sat. She is an attractive girl and I do not see anything wrong with her presenting - think her and Bruce really gell.
Anyway she obviously suits the BBC who have just given her a two year contract!!

I'm not a particular fan of Tess, but I wonder whether she has ever had a fair chance at SCD. Some weeks she is, very obviously, having to work quite hard to keep Bruce on track, whilst listening to what is being said in her earpice and moving the show along.

I quite accept the possibility that she could still be useless at her job, I just don't feel that she's yet had a chance to show what she can (or can't!) do.

Tess irritates me at times but I actually feel quite sorry for her now so am not going to say anything bad about her!

I posted same in another thread but I think it's a shame they've downgraded her from co-host to Bruce's assistant.
