Nokia 6300 losing time and date settings
I have a Nokia 6300, worked ok for the last couple of years.
In the last few days it loses the time and date when it is switched off. The battery is charged and seems to work ok when left on. I can switch it off then back on immediately and still have to enter the time and date. Any suggestions??? |

Phones used to have a small battery inside for backup purposes, obviously this battery will eventually run out. Sounds likely to what has happened to yours.
In the newer phones they have replaced the battery with a capacitor (as always to save more cost) but that is only good for a short period of time after power off ... just enough to swap sim card/memory card etc. not for long term switch off cases. |

Thanks for your help.
It's not too much of a problem, just a bit annoying!!! Just leaving the phone switched on all the time now... |
