Does anyone know where I can find the SCD statistics?

I would like to know which couple has received the most 10s?

I thought it was Lisa and Brendan? Am I getting confused? I very well could be wrong.

I know L&B had the most 40s in a series, and I know Alesha and Matthew have the highest overall average score per dance.

I hang my head in shame.

Maybe I have completely erased my memories of the scores in last year's strictly, which for me was the 'worst' one, not in terms of celebrities, but the overall glitter and glamour and the ridiculous scores.

Don't worry SCD-O, I could be wrong.

The scores for last year were ridiculous, you're right - far too many of last year's contestants made it to the top ten overall average score per dance (Rachel (2nd), Lisa (4th), Tom and Austin (joint 5th)).

Having said that, Ricky Whittle's already number 11!

Of course. If he has a dance he's less suited to he could end up in a completely different position.

Just as a guide:

Ali and Zoe are joint 21st, Laila is 31st, Jade is 33rd, Chris is 40th, Natalie is 42nd, Ricky G is 43rd, Phil is 45th, Lynda is joint 57th, Craig is 62nd, Jo is 81st and Joe is 85th. All out of 90 dancers.

(Martina is currently joint 57th, Richard is 78th, and Rav is 67th.)

Phew!

You are a stats-nerd (in a good way)! Is QM your long-lost brother?

Thanks . Hehe, I don't know - will have to ask my mum!

In response to the original question, good old Wiki tells me:

However, to be fair, after series 3 in particular, the judges marked much higher than they used to so these stats are misleading -also since the show increased in length and added more dances. For example, Jill Halpenny not being high up the list.

Most 10's will not neccessarily tell you the most proficient dancer.

Oh, I know.

I just keep track of them out of interest more than anything else.

EDIT: Jill is 8th, by the way.

Why is Jill halpenny not that high on the list?

She was a joy to watch on the dancefloor

Yeah - although with an average score only .4 of a mark higher than Ricky W, even that's in jeopardy.

I'm going to put the entire list up at the end of the series.

No. Statistics can be depressing. I mean, Jill is certainly not THAT bad compared with the other 'top' scorers!

What an interesting list, thanks QM.

Does it show
a) training techniques have improved over the series
b) judges are getting bamboozled

That's all up for debate.

If it helps, here's the breakdown per series...

Series 1 - 1
Series 2 - 7
Seires 3 - 13
Series 4 - 14
Series 5 - 37
Series 6 - 59

Total 131
