Matsui TV...
Was thinking of getting a Matsui LCD TV. Is Matsui a rubbish brand?

Well they are DSG's own brand, but I had a Matsui TV for a while, and it worked for years. Their VHS machines and hi-fis, though, are absolutely dire.

I had a Saisho portable TV - exactly the same. Worked for years badly. I also had an Akura CD player - pile of crap.
Good luck. |

I once bought a Matsui video player once a few years back.
It was dreadful. You had to turn the sound on TV full on to hear the damn thing. And its products havent improved one tiny dot either. Avoid! |

yeah I had a matsui widescreen TV a few years back (CRT model) - it was all I could afford at the time.
After about a year it developed a few little niggly faults, like wierd lines on the screen and vibratey speakers.... so I soon got rid of it and replaced it with a modern LCD. |
