how much for an iphone 3g?
i want to buy an iphone 3g for now as i can wait till next year for the new iphone to come out.
i have been looking on ebay but they look over priced. how much am i looking at paying for a 3g 8gb/16gb? cheers |

A brand new 8GB 3G from Apple direct is £342.50 - so anything less than that is good going.

I paid £290 for a 16GB 3G a few months back. Tip is to look at what prices people have them for on Buy It Now (they are generally a lot cheaper than auctions as people go silly on bidding)
Also consider ones with a "Best Offer" - you can make about 3 offers I think, which may or may not be accepted |

I paid £250 for 8GB 3G. I bought it from a classified section on another forum

about 3 months ago I paid £276 over on the AVforums classified ads section, was a 16gb 3G practiacally undamaged minus a couple marks on the back and it has apple cover till july next year (bargain I think)
could be worth a look see if you want an iphone 3G |
