I am in the process of buying a HD TV. Although BT Vision does not broadcast in HD is there an improvement in picture quality if I was to use an HDMI cable rather than the standard connections scart, sVideo etc...? Does BTVision upscale? Can I record off TV onto BTVision hard drive if I only connect with HDMI cable?

Hi BTV box does upscale and the picture does look better as far as I'm concerned. If you want to use scart then it will of course still record no problem but HDMI is the way to go

Seems like the questions have been answered.

Upscales to 1080i. Picture quality - very good on the likes of BBC/ITV/C4/C5. I have no complaints.

Connecting on the HDMI socket will also deliver a better picture compared to scart.
