Cincinnati Bengals at Pittsburgh Steelers Howard David and Dan Reeves

Seattle Seahawks at Arizona Cardinals Larry Kahn, John Robinson and Troy West

Compass Media

Kansas City Chiefs at Oakland Raiders Lee Hamilton ad Brian Baldinger

Oddly, Dallas Cowboys at Green Bay Packers is not covered nationally but will be covered by BBC Radio Five Live Sports Extra over here with, at least, Neil Reynolds and Greg Brady commentating from Lambeau Field.

No Arlo White tonight, Greg Brady hosting and doing 'play-by-play'.

Yeah just Greg Brady and Neil Reynolds.

They are back to Westwood One commentary next weekend but have stated they'll be back to do their own commentary of New York Giants v Dallas on December 6th.

I don't understand why they choose the same game being shown by Sky. That doesn't make sense to me, especially when they have flown out to do their own games.

I suppose the problem they have is most of the big games are played at 6pm.

talkSPORT's reporters on Saturday's rugby union Autumn Internationals (as posted by George L in the Radio Football Commentators and Reporters thread):

England v Argentina - Simon Ward
Scotland v Fiji - Hamish Stuart

As previously posted, David Brady covered Ireland v Australia on Sunday while the station had didn't have a reporter at Wales v Samoa on Friday night (at least as far as Ian C heard).

I presume these were also the reporters used by IRN - although as there's no local stations in my neck of the woods that take IRN's sports reports as far as I'm aware I wouldn't know. Is anyone in the position to clear this up?

I'm not sure whether it's IRN but Simon Ward, I think owns and definitely runs a service called Talking Rugby - www.talkingrugby.co.uk

They offer various radio stations the ability to use their audio and cross to their reporters via ISDN. I know BBC Radio Leicester often uses Simon Ward on a Saturday afternoon at whatever game he's at as another voice at the other big fixture of the day.

Thanks for the link and those details 4-4-2.

I see that their listed staff are Andrew Titheridge (who used to conduct interviews from inside the England rugby camp which talkSPORT once aired), Simon Ward and Russell Hargreaves.

The stations/networks listed as takers of Talking Rugby's updates on their website include talkSPORT, IRN, Sky News Radio, BFBS, RTE Radio, LBC, Classic FM, Real Radio South Wales, BBC Radio London, BBC Radio Leicester and BBC Radio Northampton.

Scotland v Australia – Conor McNamara and Gavin Hastings (SE commentary)
Wales v Argentina – Johnny Saunders”

I think it's time for Iain Robertson to retire. He had a woeful commentary, with every now and then calling England Scotland and giving out the wrong score, and struggling with player identification. Half the time I had to rely on Matt Dawson to tell me what had really gone on.

BBC Radio Wales

Pre Match build up - Jason Mohammed hosting from Cardiff city centre with Lisa Rogers and Andy Moore

During 'Radio Wales Sport', it was Steve James hosting from the Millennium Stadium with Adrian Hadley. Commentary as usual from Gareth Charles, Garin Jenkins and Phil Bennett (AM / SW FM / Online)

Radio Cymru went with Eleri Sion hosting with Rhys Williams (getting better at being a pundit) and Emyr Lewis for build up. Commentary came from Cennydd Davis, Garan Evans and Emyr Lewis, with Gareth Rhys Owen pitchside.

Mark Poyser was there for Real Radio South Wales, and Alun Jenkins was at 'Rugby HQ' for Radio Wales/Cymru.

I've noticed his continual decline as well.

But at least you had options on the Wales game other than Andrew Cotter!

His presence in the commentary box was a great advertisement for watching...Terry Jenkins v Robert Thornton at the Grand Slam of Darts!

Eleri just mentioned Gareth was using twitter for today's match, so Here's were he was sat (for a bit).

Cardiff Blues V Australia (Midweek RU Tour Match)

BBC Radio Wales - Steve James hosting with ex-Blues player Marc Stcherbina to help tell us of all the players we've never heard of in the Australian team

Commentary from Nick Webb and Garin Jenkins (AM / SE FM / SW FM / DAB / Online)

BBC Radio Cymru - Eleri Sion hosting (and shivering in the cold bless her!) with commentary from Cennydd Davis and Derwyn Jones

A note about Radio Wales today in that as part of the Grand Slam tour of GB & RoI in 1984 by the Australians, Radio Wales had clips of commentary of the more important sporting moments in that year, with those I can remember being Peter Jones doing the FA Cup Final between Everton and Watford, and the 'Bolero' moment at the Winter Olympics. I've no idea who it was, but he was ever so posh!
