How long to get used to an iphone!!
Right, tell me, how long will it take me to get used to my new iphone?
I have always been a Nokia user, just plain ole texting and calls! Now I have this new toy, not sure if it is far too tech for moi!? Any tips? Oh, and my other half was offered one on his upgrade, he is in the building trade, not pratical at all for that! |

5 minutes....one hour and you will be working it like you always had it...Plenty of sites on the internet to help in the unlikely event you get stuck....
Enjoy!! |

It shouldnt take you long at all. It's very user friendly. I found it was pretty straight forward. By the end of the first day I had gotten to grips with it. It might have helped that I had owned several ipods in the past, I dont know but I found it very easy to use.

I have to get used to it being on a 24month contract!
How long approx does your battery last? Obviously I understand it goes on usage of the phone. |

Mine will generally last a couple of days if I forget to charge it - but generally you are best off keeping lithium ion batteries topped up as often as possible anyway. Just charge it up every night and you should be fine.
You will probably find your battery won't last so long when you first get it as you will be playing with the phone a bit more to get to grips with it - and whenever the backlight is on it will be draining the battery much faster than when it is just sat in your pocket or bag. Some tips for reducing battery usage: reduce the screen brightness (Tap "Settings" then "Brightness"), turn off wifi/bluetooth when not being used ("Settings" > "Wi-Fi" and "Settings" > "General" > "Bluetooth"). If you are in low 3G signal area then turn off 3G and it will stay on 2G ("Settings" > "General" > "Network"). |

Thanks for that Simon
![]() Another question, how often do you have to sync it, I take it only when you wish to put some music etc on from itunes? Other than that it can just operate as it is? A novice at heart ! And......does the simcard work in say my old Nokia (2 year old phone) if I decide to go back to that, hopefully I will not resort to it though! |

Best phone ever in the fact that it is so powerful, and also the fact that the UI is so easy to get used to, you'll be flying around it in no time. Took me all of 10 minutes
![]() I have to charge mine every night. I take it off charge at 7am and the lowest charge level at 10pm has been 21% for me, with average usage ![]() Don't need to sync it that often however it does take a backup of your messages, contacts and calendar when you do sync it so I recommend daily. The other thing you can do is set yourself up a Google account (Mail, Calendars) and every contact you create on the phone and every appointment you make on the phone is instantly copied onto your webmail, also if you add or edit stuff online it goes to the phone instantly. |
