in the past series, who should have won rather than who actually did?
who was booted out too early?
any thoughts?

eg i always thought louisa and vincent were better

I honestly can't remember much about past series.
Perhaps it's me age.

Spoony and Ray went too early in series 4- and really Peter stayed in too long

catt -

When I saw your thread title I immediately thought "Louisa and Vincent should have got further", and then when I read your post I saw that you agreed

it was them i was thinking about, hence asked my question.
maybe i should just have asked
'louisa and vincent woz they robbed?'
so who won that year they left?? when did they go out? what dance off?

...

any others? yes spooney was one..

This seems to be quite a prominante topic this evening .

I always thought Louisa and Vincent were grossly overrated in these forums. She had more recent dance experience than Emma that year, but Emma was constantly criticised for it but not Louisa. Louisa always looked like a little girl trying to do a grown-up thing - like a child walking around in her mum's heels - which I didn't find that appealing.

I think the right person won almost every year, except Darren/Colin year, when Colin was a vastly superior dancer and had a less grating personality. I don't think I could have taken even one more proclamation of "But I'm a man's man, I've never danced in me life before."

I thought Emma was technically a better dancer than Ramps, given she rehearsed far fewer hours than him, but he had more public appeal so it was fair enough that he won, although I would have liked to see her win.

Rachel was the best dancer last year, but her bland personality meant Tom deserved it more.

Very glad Jill and Alesha won as they were the best dancers in their respective years and had the best personalities.

Only watched parts of series 1 so can't comment on Natasha.

My only other gripe is Brat! He should have been booted off when he messed up his dancing, and Gethin in the final.

He must have got some sympathy vote - since Tish who I thoughwas on a par with him popularity with him ended up in the dance off with Alesha

I may be wrong, but wasn't that the year when the lines were still kept open all week? If so, it may not have been the sympathy vote so much as an accumulation of votes. It was puzzling, though.

I think it was the last year of that- but it is even more annoying because Matt ended up in a final at Gethin's expense when Matt really should have gone out in the quarter finals

Spoony, Don and Siobhan Hayes.

And I always had a soft spot for the lovely Jaye Jacobs.

oh no sorry it wasn't meant like that .

It was just a general statment overall. I'd seen a few threads revived descussing their inparticular travesty, for example Colin's loss, but I like we've got a place now to put all of dicussions together .

Gethin should have won over Alesha
Emma or Louisa should have won over Mark

Tom, Jill and Darren were all the right winners.

I've only once been devastated at losing a contestant and that was Austin

The only year i haven't enjoyed SCD as much and that was the icing on the cake. Silly judges

Austin and Erin should have made the final.
So should Louisa and Vinnie.
Colin Jackson should have won.

Totally agree! Although I think that if Austin had made the final he may have won and imo should have.

Austin should have made the final for sure, it's been nearly a year and I'm still bitter

A comment about Spoony and Ray , and all others who leave early , we just don't know how they would have shaped up .
Ray's paso was very, very weak , he hardly did any " dancing" at all.

I still think Aled should have been in the final in Series 2 ;and Lesley Garrett in Series 1

Had Jimmy Tarbuck not had to leave , I am sure louisa would have been in the final .

You're still bitter! Imagine how fans of Rachel and Vincent felt(and still feel) ! I know Tom did a great showdance but what about previous weeks ? Anyway, rant over and fellow commiserations by the way !

I'm afraid that this thread is just an invitation to bitterness and nastiness. I think we have more than enough of these on the forum as it is.
