I remember being shocked when Claire Sweeney with John Burnes was knocked out, a little too early. I fancied a Natasha/Claire/ Lesley final , then found out was a 2 person final anyway.

I'd pick Louisa & Vincent as well.
I think the final would have been more competitive that series if Louisa had been contesting it alongside Ramps instead of one-trick pony Matt.

Spoony and Ray
Probably Austin over Tom and arguably Gethin over Matt
Gaby may have had SF potential
Martina should still be there this year - who knows what ability she had.
Cherie had more potential than she stayed long enough to fulfill.
Emma should have been in the last 2 as should Zoe.
Kelly on merit should have been a contender but that was a personal issue rather than the public vote.
Rachel completely outclassed Tom and should have won the show - as she did the tour by several miles.

The thing is if Rachel and Vincent had the public's support they would have won, Austin and Erin may well have had the public's support but still went out to an inferior dancer because she had a waltz in the quarters (the easiest dance to score high marks in). All of this, of course, is in my opinion.
And yes I'm another still bitter one!

I would agree with all of this really.
Plus, as someone mentioned, in S1 Claire should have gone further (indeed, almost anyone over Chris Parker).
S2 seemed reasonably fair all round, although I would have preferred Aled to have been in the final over Julian.
I would also liked to have seen more ballroom from Penny (but Latin was always going to be a hurdle).
Definitely agree about Austin and Erin. I also really liked Gethin and would like to have seen him in the final over Matt.
Colin Jackson should have won. Other than that, I've been OK with all past winners.

If we'd been given the opportunity to evict a celeb, I'd have paid money to throw Bunton out - awful woman, and grossly overmarked for average dancing.

Didn`t get the Gethin love, his ballroom was great but didn`t like his latin routines so much. I thought Matt DA and Alesha gave us one of the best and closely matched finals I`ve seen on SCD. Both were equally good at latin and ballroom

I don't understand why it's any more annoying than the duffers who get kept in every single year by sympathy voting (or I could be cyncial and say that if Gethin wasn't so cute would it have attracted this level of vitriol except hubbie was also annoyed by it because of what happened to Gethin) at least Matt could actually dance and proved he could before unlike the likes of hopalong Katie, Jan Ravens and Georgina Bouzova. I'm way more annoyed that Spoony got eliminated to keep in Jan and Georgie who were both awful that night and that Gaby was out because who voting for Kate and Kenny and the judges preference for Penny. I also maintain Leticia benefitted from sympathy voting when Matt was in the dance off because she had a dance that didn't suit her and it was her birthday.
You can also add me to the list of disgruntled Eriaustin fans too - Lisa was probably the most over-marked contestant since La Bunton and it annoys me that the point of doing two dances is negated when you just get through the dance-off on one good one - it wouldn't have made a difference probably but would have FELT fairer to have Lisa/Brendan trying to survive the dance-off on that ruddy jive rather than being able to play to their strengths.

Rachel and Vincent should have won last year. You don't appreciate how amazing she is til you watch her dance live.

Series 1 - Lesley and Anton should have been in the final - not Chris P. The final would have definitely been more even!

Series 3 - Colin should have won over "the fat bloke from Barnsley!", and I couldn't take to Zoe for some reson - AND she was the judges pet that year too!
Series 4 - Luisa & Vincent should have stayed over Emma and Darren - they were definitely robbed, although Ramps was always my winner.

Don Warrington! Remember his tango with Lillia to "What Lola Wants"? He was second in the leaderboard I think, the next week he slipped from midtable to be in the dance off with Heather (who should never have been NEAR the dance off) and got the boot.

I think I must have been one of the few people that wasn't shocked when Spoony left.
He might have had a bit of rhythm, but as a partnership, he and Ola made little impression. I'm not surprised viewers didn't feel motivated to pick up their phones and vote for them.
