Need a new touchscreen, which one?

I have a Samsung Tocco F480 on 3. It's a good handset, but it's very boring with not much to do on it.

I am thinking of selling it to buy something else. I was thinking of a Nokia maybe.

Which ones would you advise? It must have a music player, good web browsing for facebook and Gmail, and a decent quality camera.

Maximum spend here is around £140.

Thanks.

I guess the iPhone is too obvious, right?

I am on 3 so has to be 3 compatible to be honest.

Ideally something with apps, like facebook and gmail. My samsung is poor in features to be honest. Was thinking of the Nokia 5800 but a bit pricey.

Any other ideas?

I'd love to know where you think he'll get an iphone for £140

(Assuming he's talking about PAYT)

what about the Nokia 6220 handset from Play.com. Sim free, it is £150 so £10 over what you want to spend. It has a 5MP camera with auto focus, built in sat nav/gps with Nokia Maps (you can also download google maps, which is what I have on my 6120) Music player. You can also download a better browser for it. I have opera installed on mine which is a lot better. You should be able to use facebook and the like with it. You also have the ability to hook this handset upto a television to view photos and watch videos/listen to music through the tv.

My nokia has the ability to auto log in to gmail and download mail to the mobile, but as I don't have a data plan, this is switched off - the 620 should be able to do the same.

edit - to add to this, you can also add the largest micro sd card to the handset as it accepts the micro HCSD cards (the largest I have heard of is 8GB but there maybe a 16GB one somewhere)

it only dawned on me when I got an email from DS about a new reply to this thread, that my suggestion on a new handset was completely irrelevant as you want a touchscreen and the handset I suggested isn't.

I could suggest something like the Glofiish M810 which is a touch screen handset with slide out keypad. runs on windows mobile 6 professional so you can get windows media player running on it for music, video etc. internet access would be via internet explorer or opera. has built in wifi, 2.8 inch tft , gps (download google maps), and 2MP camera. (again its a little over your budget, at £160, but it will do everything you want and possibly more things you things you hadn't thought of.

Shame it is on 3 that you want it.
T-Mobile are doing an Android Pulse for £180 PAYG which is the cheapest on the market for PAYG. Most Android phones will set you back £300+

Early reviews are that apart from the lack of Multi-Touch, it is as good as the current expensive Android phones on the market.

I think I read somewhere recently that Android has about 9000 apps available for download and rising rapidly to be a real challenger to the iPhone crown.

Plus it looks very much like an iPhone to look at.
