As much as I like some of his music, I dont really think hes that special, to be honest!!! Also, I dont think that he is as blind as the whole world thinks he is!!! A case in point, a few months ago there was a picture of him in Hello Magazine using a camera!!! Hello!!!! Dont you have to be able to SEE to operate a camera????? Also, I couldnt help but laugh, when during the outdoors Inaugeral Concert for Barack Obama, Stevie Wonder was wearing an Obama jacket with a pic of Obama on the back!! The thing is he was probably the only one there that hadnt got a clue what Obama looked like(thats IF he is 100% blind, of course!!)

Also, he has developed a Bono-complex, in that he has to be seen at every major music, charity and/or political event!!!

To me he is a bit over-rated!!!!:yawn:

stevie is one of the few people in the world that's worthy of being called a genius. whilst many know he is blind, yet wrote and played on his own tracks, few know he can play most instruments, and played them on his albums, including drums (real drums) and guitar

his early 70s work is one of the greatest bodies of work of any artist

he's also a civil rights activist, which is why he is invited to appear at charity events. he's certainly not like bono

You're wrong. (details available upon request)

Are you serious? The man plays most instruments and yet you think you're calling him out for holding a CAMERA?

Generally sight helps people to read, write and play piano yet he manages that. Oh, unless he's been pretending to be blind for 50+ years, right?

Also, I couldnt help but laugh, when during the outdoors Inaugeral Concert for Barack Obama, Stevie Wonder was wearing an Obama jacket with a pic of Obama on the back!! The thing is he was probably the only one there that hadnt got a clue what Obama looked like(thats IF he is 100% blind, of course!!)
Ha! He's blind so he can't see! Do you crack up at subtitles knowing the deaf can't really hear too?

Also, he has developed a Bono-complex, in that he has to be seen at every major music, charity and/or political event!!!
Damn that man, supporting good causes.

^^ Pulling wings off flies that

Too many to mention but 'Another Star' just has to be the closest thing to aural bliss ever recorded.
Eight minutes of pure joy.

Seems So Long is my current favourite. I'm into his almost lazy, low-key kind of phase at the moment, along with Looking For Another Pure Love.

oh my god, i LOVE this man.

I hold him in such high regard for two seperate reasons. One, for his songwriting - just love his melodies, lyrics and production of his songs.

Two - for his vocal ability. Even if he never wrote a single song, I would still love him, because his tone, range, and expressiveness like no other for me!

Massive Stevie fan here. I've been lucky enough to see him in concert a few times and he is a true star.

Funnily enough, I don't think he's technically a great singer but his songwriting is genius and his delivery makes his vocal imperfections not matter.

He truly is someone worth calling that overused phrase 'genius'. I mean, he wrote 'I was made to love her' when he was 14!!!!!

Personal favourite of mine is 'If you really love me' but the intro of Sir Duke is probably the best intro of any song ever.

Sir Duke is my favourite Stevie song followed closely by Creepin' and Rocket Love.
