Is this misleading ?
Whenever I go into Asda or Tesco etc, I look at the section with sells cookies, muffins and donuts.
The sign on the counter says "Freshly baked on the premises" I used to work in a factory which made these things by the millions. They are then frozen and sent out to the supermarkets, where they are warmed up in the shops' ovens. Is the shop misleading us by saying they are baked on the premises ? |

In that case then yes. It should say "Freshly re-heated for you on the premises"

It's the same with ASDA, though most of the bread is freshly done.
They always over-do the cookies too. I used to love the Yorkie ones when they were gooey, but they are always tougher now. I will always have a quick squeeze to see if they have sorted the problem, but they have not as yet |

We all know they and other producers have misleading info on signs & packaging though. Is the shop misleading us by saying they are baked on the premises ? There was a good program on BBC3 about it regarding sausages. |

As I understand it many of those kind of products are only part cooked in the factory then finished in the supermarket 'bakery' so I suppose it is just about true to say freshly baked on the premises.

I assumed it was frozen dough (not cooked) sent out to the supermarkets, then baked on the premises?
