Becuase he's rubbish on Corrie
Why doesn't Craig get the public vote?

I just got annoyed with his apparent inability to even attempt to get the frame right. What on earth were his arms doing? Surely they should have improved a little by now? I find that very frustrating to watch because he seems to have the potential to improve but he's going no where.

I think its a bit harsh to say he has no chemistry with Flavia.
You are never going to see anything like the chemistry/connection from Flavia that you saw when she was dancing with Matt for the simple reason that she was so smitten with Matt (and he with her) that it became impossible to hide. And this year is the first year you have seen Flavia dancing with anyone but someone older and not lasting beyond the first week. I actually think Craig does feel uncomfortable getting close to Flavia and for an actor I find this weird because as an actor he ought to be able to get over this. They seem to be getting on quite well in the training room (no better or worse than the average celeb except for those with romantic agendas) but Jan is right in that he doesn't fit into any of the stereotypical sections to get a fan base....
He is not a comedian, sportsman, duffer, he doenst have a national vote (ie the Welsh), and they do seem to fall through the cracks. We have also NOT seen them on any BBC programme except ITT... no appearances on BBC Breakfast etc and I do wonder if the fact that he is from a soap on the other side (ITV) that there doesnt appear to be any active PR for them from the strictly stable... Lets face it even though Ricky Whittle is from "another channel" he seems to be constantly in the headlines for the costumes, (or the lack of), fitting issues, thongs etc...

I agree with this - Flavia isn't my favourite professional anyway - but I think this point is a good one. She never has much to say when they are on ITT etc.

I don't think his character on Corrie is a particularly good or strong one - may be that's why.
However, he was specifically told to keep his right arm UP last night in the dance off and he DIDN'T - which I found very annoying!

Very sad because I am pretty positive he is a lovely man.

Sums it up for me too. All the charisma of a brick which surprises me because I love him in QaF.
He was lovely in QaF and good in Hotel Babylon too.

I think the main problem with Craig is he lacks any personality whatsoever.I have never seen such a dull celeb on the show,and he just makes up the numbers.I don't think it helps that Flavia is a bit of a non personality,wich may make it harder for her celeb to have chemistry with her if she dosn't interact with them.I find Flavia technically brilliant but so serious and not much fun......she will never get further in the show unless she learns how to connect,and help her celeb realise they need to have fun and not be so serious.

I have to agree with you there regarding his frame I have never seen anyone dance the way he does as Arlene said in her column on Monday he could have been leading a Mule around not one of her favourite dancers.
It does seem shocking that after all these weeks his frame is so bad and if that is not put right there is not much hope of improvement.
I had no idea who Craig was before the show started and haven't found him at all interesting to watch since the programme started

That makes it tough for Strictly, where they need to build up a quick response with the audience. ( i.e. like Phil)

I think he is starting to endear himself to the public.As someone else said earlier he must have finished at least 5th last week to escape the bottom 2

Sorry but i have lots of nice dish cloths that I an friends with and adore and I don't see why they should be used in such a negative manner on this forum juts for you to make a point about Craig
As much as I admire Flavia as a dancer and think there is every chance she is a lovely person, she strikes me as the kind who is quite hard to get to know.
Matt Di A was a 'heart on his sleeve' type and really brought Flavia out of her shell, but I don't think Craig is that kind of person and the mismatch in their personalities is leading them to be quite awkward on the floor.
I don't think Craig has an overinflated idea of what he can do, nor do I think Flavia is just phoning it in this year (as some accusations have declared) - I just think that this uncomfortable feeling is magnified 100x when they get under the cameras.
