Well we are at week 4 now, so at least we know who are the contenders and who have no hope...

Id say: Ricky Whittle ( will NEVER get voted off in a dance off, the only way he'd be at risk is if there was a Ricky-Ali dance off- v unlikely..)

Ali- very good dancer already, surely an judge and audience fav along with Ricky..

No 3: Not sure: Obvious candidates are Jay, Zoe or Laila. Can I say that I would be delighted if an outsider like Tuffers (who is actually a reasonable dancer) was in there... that'd be fun...

I agree with your list of contenders. Hard to narrow it down to three. I would love to see Phil Tuffnell in there. I think he has a lot of potential.

I think Ricky will definately get to the final as if he does end up in a dance off he'll be saved, but I think somebody with more personality will win.

I agree. I can see Ali winning. She's kinda non offensive and appealing to women.

Ricky- like Lisa Snowdon last year, hes technically proficent but lacks personality. Hes so damned SERIOUS about wining and so single minded that he lacks the warmth that I think is required in order to win Strictly. I think hes a possible fall-at-the-last-hurdle kinda guy....

Im not naive that most of the SCD celebs are desperate to win, but at least most of them have fun on the way, and Ricky lacks the dreaded "J" word, which I think Ali has in her favour....

I'd personally be happy if Lalia or Tuffers won as well... Tuffers esp. Hes such fun, and is a gifted dancer much to everyones surprise. I always look forward to his dances...

Gosh this is quite hard. At the moment if I were to pick who I would like to see in the final it would be:

Ricky W and Natalie

Jade and Ian (I'm loving their partnership, and judging by some of the marking I'm beginning to think they're cannon fodder)

Phil and Kaya

Two potential "journeys" and one excellent dancer.

Either Ricky or Ali because I don't think both will get to the final... i see them going up against each other in a danceoff as I think both will struggle for votes later on in the competition.

Secondly Phil (good personality and a good little mover too)

Then Jade who can do both ballroom and latin and has the potential to improve

Zoe and Laila could also get there but I think Zoe's handicapped by James (then again lots of people don't seem to like Brendan but he got to the final with Lisa last year) and Laila's chances may have been ruined by the recent controversy and hasn't proved herself in the latin dances yet.

Wouldn't underestimate Natalie & Vincent as a partnership, each week they are making a steady improvement so could slip in under the wire.

I would hope the final 3 include Ali & Ricky W and AN Other who has perhaps yet to shine.

Difficult to say at this stage. I think that Ali and Laila should get there on ability and Natalie and Ricky G could go a long way on personality, gritty determination and a reasonable amount of dance ability. Tuffers is my outsider. Zoe and Ricky W are good and could be kept in by the judges although I don't think the public are warming to them.

Ricky G also has Erin who is pretty determined herself.

I think that's more appealing to men. Most women actually find her a bit wet.

I think its more down to personality than gender. The women who liked Rachel Stevens will like Ali. Having said that, I think she'll get to the final but is unlikely to win.

The final I'd like purely for entertainment value:

Chris & ola,Ricky G & Erin and Phil & Katya

The final for dancing:

Ali & Brian,Ricky W & Natalie,Chris & Ola


The final I suspect it will be:

Actually, Phil is fourth favourite in front of Zoe and Jade with most bookies..which I find surprising.

There's no way Jade will be in the final - she's not getting the public votes. Ditto Zoe (who's also being spectacularly overmarked by the judges). Phil Tufnell will get the votes but may be shafted by the judges in the quarter/semi stages when they can effectively block out the most popular (with the public) candidate. Ali and Ricky seem dead certs (they're the best dancers) but the third place (who may well win) is all to play for.

I think that Ali and Brian will be in the final. After that, I think it all depends on what the public as a collective whole are looking for. Let's take for example, Chris, Phil and Ricky G. They're all taking different paths on the same journey and if one of them makes it to the final, it will only be one of them. Again, take Laila and Zoe - exact same thing. I don't think Jade and Ian will be there, neither Joe or Jo. I think Ricky W will be another Austin and may lose to Ali in the dance off depending on what dances they're actually doing if(when) it happens. Natalie Cassidy is middle for diddle for me and she's not showing enough personality even now above the others and she's got it in spades. If she brings it out in the dances, she could throw a spanner in the works (a la Gethin, Letitia). Craig will be out next week unfortunately.

My three I think will be

Ricky & Erin, Chris & Ola and Ali & Brian

I have an awful feeling Zoe & James will be in the mix.

They are this year's equivalent to Lisa & Brendan for me.

Alli and Ricky W will be there of course.

I hope Laila & Anton can get their act together in the Latin because then they would be true contenders.

I think Ali will be there she hasnt had a bad dance yet and has done fast and slow dances well. The judges would never bin her even if she got into the dance off. Her big eyed bambiness might get on peoples nerves a bit.

At this stage I think she is the only certainty.

Ricky W may go out in the two dance stage. If he struggles to learn a fairly 'simple' free routine like the Salsa whilst 'working' then he will not cope with a ballroom and latin in the same week. I also think he is the Lisa of this series a reasonable dancer but not being warmed too by the public.

At the moment Zoe deserves to go all the way although she hasnt done a fast latin dance so is untested where that is concerned and she is hampered by James Jordan.

I would love Ricky G to really pull it out of the bag and go all the way but thats an unknown at the moment........the same applies to Chris and Ola who I also think could be contenders.

Phil I think could very well be this years winner as long as his knee holds out and he continues to improve I thought he did an amazing job with a dodgy knee last night. as usual an awful lot will depend on who is with who in the dance off when we start to get down to the nitty gritty.

Realised I missed out Laila and Anton...perhaps that says it all.......
