That seems an unusual amount to charge for a text service, requested or otherwise. Was there a 5 digit number indicating where the text came from on the bill?

There is no number,in the space on the bill where the number should be, it just states "text info service" instead of a number

I have rang them but they won't talk me me,its my sim in my phone but its a 2nd sim on my wifes account
They will talk to her about it and she is at work until teatime,I have sent an e mail in the meantime

“Hi XXXXX XXXXXXX

Let me check and investigate the charges of a unknown text on your bill.

XXXXX, you’re receiving text messages from a company called Dialogue Comms Limited. The service that they provide is Logos and ringtones. They can be contacted by any of the following methods:

Phone - 08717002211

Email – support@dialogue.co.uk

You can also stop these messages by replying to them with ‘STOP’. Further to this you are charged £2.53 for receiving these texts. However, I've applied a credit of £2.53 on your account as a gesture of goodwill.

XXXXX, let me add a little clarity and sort this out for you. The message, which you have received on your phone, is a text info service message. This text is generated by a third party and not by Vodafone.

Vodafone does not pass on or sell customer data to third parties to market to our customers. We respect the privacy of our customers and comply with the UK Data Protection and Privacy legislation

Just to keep you informed, please do not reply to any of the promotional or marketing messages/calls received on your phone. As these are premium rated numbers and the charges are pretty high.

I trust the above information sorts your query.

Kind regards,

Vodafone Customer Services”

So is it possible to join a ring tone service without replying to a text ?

“Hi,

The company that operate this service is called Uber Digital and I have requested that they remove your number from their database to ensure that you do not receive any more of these messages.

I have also asked them to call you back on the mobile number provided regard a refund but if you wish to contact them directly in the meantime, their customer service number is 020 7418 5577.

Kind Regards
