Bruno + Aleesha's scoring - always the same?!

Something I've noticed from the very beginning and even last night is that when Bruno and Aleesha are scoring, they are 90% scoring the same. Am I looking into this too much?

I agree.

In fact the scoring last night was bizarre. Alesha told Ricky W that she didnt think his dance was all that great, and yet gave him an 8! And yet Craig praised him and said it was great but also gave him an 8.....the scoring just doesnt seem consistent...as that other male pro dancer said to Tess after his dance (cant remember his name)

Maybe Bruno needs to keep his forearm curled around his voting pad to make sure she's not copying.

I saw quite a few stony faces from pro dancers and celebs throughout the duration of one judge's speech, with their eyes narrowed ang tongues bitten. When Bruno's turn came to speak they all came back to life, smiling and laughing regardless of whether Bruno was critical or complimentary.

So embarrassingly many times that the Beeb later appeared to switch camera fixing on that judge, hiding the reaction to her. Would anyone with replay care to check this out, the contrast between earlier and later.

Well considering they both only use the paddles 5 - 8 the chances of them scoring the same are quite high. Surprised Craig`s scores are pretty much on a par with Bruno and Alesha`s apart from the times he uses the 3 and 4 paddle.

Craig 8 Len 9 Alesha 8 Bruno 8
Craig 5 Len 6 Alesha 7 Bruno 7
Craig 5 Len 7 Alesha 6 Bruno 6
Craig 8 Len 8 Alesha 8 Bruno 8
Craig 4 Len 6 Alesha 5 Bruno 5
Craig 7 Len 8 Alesha 7 Bruno 7
Craig 3 Len 6 Alesha 6 Bruno 5
Craig 8 Len 9 Alesha 9 Bruno 8
Craig 8 Len 8 Alesha 8 Bruno 8
Craig 5 Len 7 Alesha 6 Bruno 6
Craig 7 Len 7 Alesha 8 Bruno 7
Craig 6 Len 8 Alesha 7 Bruno 7
Craig 4 Len 7 Alesha 6 Bruno 7

Nothing sinister.

It's very easy to guess what scores the judges will give. There was a time when you could guarantee you'd have Craig and Arlene scoring the same followed by Bruno and Len 1 point higher. If the scores were all wildly different that would be worrying!

Also, is there some forum obsession with spelling Alesha's name incorrectly? It's not that unusual, surely!

Yes we have a competition at home to guess their scores. Person most out makes the drinks after SCD has finished

Actually she scores mostly the same as Len (see Buddy Bon's stats).
She is never more than 3.4 away from Len. And for 6 celebs over the series she is the same as Len exactly.
However she differs much more with Bruno. She is 5.6 HIGHER than Bruno gives to Joe. That's where Joe is getting his marks from - Alesha! Crazy.

just shows Len and Craig are the most realistic of the judges

Interesting thread as I mentioned this to my partner at the weekend - I'm sure nothing sinister though as like somebody said, at home we can all pretty much nail the judges scoring.

Another ridiculous conspiracy theory to think about...Aleeshas comments got a lot more 'technical' from week 2, what are the chances of Bruno jotting down a few comments for Aleesha to look at or even Aleesha having an ear pieice in and getting comments from someone out back?

That's right. If anyone wants to follow the judges' scoring then I'm updating this thread weekly (it starts from week 4, but there is a link to the first three weeks stats ).
