Pixelated Strictly Come Dancing

I usually record Strictly in HD and then skip through it quickly and just watch the dancing thus avoiding the "Brucie" cr*p.

I have noticed when I skip scenes there is quite a lot of pixelation. Why is this happening in HD and why only in some live scenes and not others.

Any ideas?

Thanks
Robert

It seems to be a problem since the new encoder. On my hdr it happens on 2x and 4x but not at higher speeds

Thanks for that Graham.

I usally dont go higher than x4 for fear of missing something so I hadn't noticed that it stops at higher speeds. I'll have a look at it next time.

Second that it's widely reported as a problem since the new encoder and bitrate cut.
