Well, they're not competing on price!

I wonder if they are being released in a more 'finished' state than the Humax box.

Beware! I believe this product to be from the same stables as Grundig/Bush/Goodmans.
Would find it difficult to believe that this product would be first on the market when you have Humax & Panasonic products probably getting close to an OTA.... whenever freeat allow them that is.
Has anyone asked Freesat/BBC about iPlayer on the freesat products? They may be the ones that have the answers.

As for Humax, I think it is only a matter of time before the update is released (or allowed to be released).

I could be wrong, it has been known

Good that other products are coming out to add some healthy competition to the market.

If you check the products page, they are not being launched until the end of October. This date may be as "fluid" as Humax's "later this year"

The end of October gives them a window of around a week.

Later this year is nearly three months. And Humax are known for silently missing dates.

Question is are Sagem going to beat Humax with the first working box with iPlayer?

Is it just me or is the unit really ugly. Given that its the same price range and the Humax, which is a known quantity and looks good you'd need a good reason to go for the Sagem.

The simple fact is that iPlayer is being soft-launched on the Humax models first, then eventually on the rest...and those Sagems are damn ugly

Sagem gear is of a terrible quality, f*ck paying those volumes of money for their poor quality products. Don't buy these receivers as they WILL disapoint!
