I really felt sorry for Jo.

Being stuck with an chicken murderer and now being picked on by old people.

One wonders what the Daily Mail will run with on Monday, will it still be Anton and racist comments, will it be Bruno and daring to use the word Arse, or will it be X factor and Dani Minogues comment or will Jo and the lost stone romp it home.

I wait with baited breath.

I think they will have a picture of Jo Wood looking at Tuffers and the Daily Mail will therefore be convinced of a new Strictly romance.

As for the joke - no need for it! Utterly insensitive! (although I misheard it at the time and thought Bruce was joking about her weight!)

To be fair to Bruce, and I'm no fan, his worst gags are actually scripted for him, as others have said. The Stones joke didn't sound like one of his at all. I actually thinks he does better when he ad libs.

Frankly, a lot of people didn't even get it. I'm not sure they are a very rock 'n roll crowd at SCD!

it took me a couple of seconds to get it thought it was a passable Bruce joke.

Must admit I cringed when he said it - I would like to think the writer had run it past Jo first, but knowing the BBC this would be unlikely.

What would they have done if she had burst into tears?

No moral outrage or Daily Mail indignation for anyone thinking that is what drives people to object to Bruce's jokes, I just didn't think it was funny, it was cringeworthy and I thought insensitive. What next, perhaps a few remarks about Alesha's former husband, that should have us all rocking with laughter...

If Bruce had it written for him, then he should ask for a new scriptwriter, it did him no favours and I thought was not helpful to an already nervous celeb

Not sure whether it was scripted or off the cuff. If the former Bruce did not have to crack the joke. He was in a position to question it and refuse to deliver.

It was tasteless.

However I wasn't surprised; his earlier defence of Anton's p*ki remark spoke volumes about his attitude.

I thought it was really unfunny and insensitive. A marriage breakup isn't funny, I felt really sorry for Jo when he said it.

I winced when he said it - it wasn't a joke it was nasty.

From Jo's reaction I don't think she saw it coming either.

I just love Joe, can't help it. My husband and son think I feel sorry for her, but I don't, my daughter agrees with me.

I just so want her to show that 'Dud' ex -husband of her's, what a prize he's lost.

Yes, me too.

I've voted for her a couple of times and it's been worthwhile just to know how good she must feel when her name is called out.

I love her to bits and want her to leave Strictly armed with some much needed confidence and joy. She deserves it.

Jo comes across as a very nice person - and she reminds me of Goldie Hawn. I think the public are supporting her because we know how stunned she was when Ronnie slunk away with his Russian doll.......

From what has been said on ITT, Jo is also very popular amongst the other participants in the series - I expect she likes to mother them all.

Good luck to her - I expect Ronnie already knows just what he threw away!

Jo buried her wedding ring in a coffin ! It was therapeutic apparently lol.
I found that out from one of the interviews she's done about her marriage break-up, so it's not like Bruce was breaking news with that joke

I laughed and said "good for you" And I gave her a vote.

It's her smile that does it for me -Sid-. It's beaming. it makes me smile too. .I just want her to do well.

I really want Jo to do a good dance and get nice comments just once before she leaves the show. I think it'd do her confidence the world of good.

Hey Zan

I have a good feeling about the Vienne Waltz!

But then I said that about the Foxtrot as well I still enjoyed it, but I do want to see Jo do herself justice this week by reproducing what she's learnt in training instead of allowing the occasion to get to her.

Heya Sid.

Yeah.

It's the first time I've ever really cared about the less able dancers, but I find Jo intensely likeable. I think she really needs some good comments - but I like that she's genuinely surprised that people are voting for her.

I had to ask my husband to explain the joke and then said if Bruce had used the word 'shed' instead of 'lost' it would have worked much better as a dig at Ronnie Wood.

I think the appropriateness of the joke depends on how Jo Wood "sold" herself to the BBC. If she made a great play of being the ex-Rolling Stones Rock Chick then it's probably fair game. It's like politicians who parade their kids for photo calls in elections. They can't really complain when the tabloid snappers take interest in their teenage drunken exploits.

If she was a normal minor celeb who just happened to be Ronnie Wood's ex-wife then it would be out of bounds.

It was not the funniest joke ever, that's for sure.
