Would have thought they'd have it even (6 Jive, 6 VW), think only ones that haven't been confirmed yet are Ricky&Natalie & Laila&Anton but you'd think they'd both ahev to do VW to make it even. Bit wrong if Anton is doing ballroom for 3rd week in a row!

I'm surprised there aren't 6 of each. I wonder if Anton will be doing the V. Waltz. It hasn't been confirmed anywhere that he's doing a Jive. The bbc will want to keep him near the top of the leader board again to keep him out of the bottom two. If he's low down with the judges therefore relying on the public it could get awkward

Natalie & Vincent - Viennese Waltz (ITT)
Ricky W & Natalie - Viennese Waltz (2 latins in a row)
Laila & Anton - Jive (2 ballrooms in a row)
Joe & Kristina - Jive (ITT)
Craig & Flavia - Jive (2 ballrooms in a row) (ITT)
Jo & Brendan - Viennese Waltz (Jo's Twitter)
Chris & Ola - Jive (He said so on BBC Breakfast)
Zoe & James - Jive (ITT)
Ricky G & Erin - Jive (ITT)
Phil & Katya - Viennese Waltz (Phil's Twitter) (ITT)
Ali & Brian - Jive (ITT)
Jade & Ian - Viennese Waltz (ITT)

I'm pretty certain those are correct, however there are only 5 Viennese Waltz's and 7 Jives so I could be wrong....
Only 2 not confirmed elsewhere (as far as I am aware) are Ricky W and Laila but I have the same list as you

I think this is what will happen.......I bet Laila and Anton will do VW which is realy bad as that would be 3 ballroom in a row......but if this is the case the latin is going to catch up with them at a time when there are less places to hide on the leaderboard.

I think Anton and Laila have a Viennese Waltz. I was talking to Kele and Ralf at my dance class tonight (K and R advise on the tangos and argentine tangos on strictly) and evidently Kele thinks Anton's got away without doing a Latin again this week but as Ralf said if Anton had thought about it he would have got some of the Latins out of the way (or it might be the BBC rigging things again) while there were still people obviously worse than him to avoid being in the dance off/bottom of the leaderboard. Any second now he is going to have runout of Ballroom dances so will have to do 3 or 4 weeks consecutively of Latin dances... (probably starting with Samba next week...., followed by Rumba, Paso, Salsa and Jive.....)...

The list of dances (done in bold):

Ballroom: waltz, quickstep, tango, foxtrot, viennese waltz (likely dance this week), american smooth

Latins: chacha, rumba, paso, samba, jive, salsa

That basically leaves them with 5 latin dances and 2 ballrooms so Id reckon at least 3 if not 4 weeks of Latin coming up.....

I think it will be 6 jives and 6 VWs.

Jive:
1. Joe & Kristina (Monday - interview)
2. Craig & Flavia (Tuesday - interview)
3. Chris & Ola (Wednesday - interview)
4. Zoe & James (Wednesday - costume discussion)
5. Ricky & Erin (Wednesday - interview)
6. Ali & Brian (Wednesday - interview)

Viennese Waltz:
1. Natalie & Vincent (Tuesday - interview)
2. Phil & Katya (Tuesday - interview)
3. Jade & Ian (Wednesday - costume discussion)

With 12 couples left, that means the remaining three should be dancing the Viennese Waltz:
4. Laila & Anton
5. Ricky & Natalie
6. Jo & Brendan

Oh my! That looks like extremely bad planning on somebody's part: As you said, it's a much safer option to do some of the latins now when there's a 'cushion' of much weaker competitors below them - poor Laila is going to end up doing week upon week of them once we get to the business end of the show...which doesn't bode well for her.

the only consolation is that by doing this the BBC have ensured Anton wont make the final - well I for one will pray for that

Poor Anton and Laila if they are going to have to dance all those latin dances

It would be much better to have got some of those latin dances out the way. If they have to dance the VW this week it's quite unfair really because she won't get much further in my opinion with all those latin ones. Whoever picks the dances each week for each couple might have really messed it up for Anton and Laila

The only thing that will mess it up for Laila is Antons latin

Tango is not a latin dance it is a ballroom dance and has been for 53 years

Hasnt it been confirmed on Jo's twitter that she and Brendan are doing VW??? I think it only leaves us with Laila and Ricky W to be confirmed ...

and yes Tony DB has got away with it again...

But like you say... at least it will mean Anton won't make the final .... (he really is an idiot .... and should have pushed to do at least one latin in these last 3 weeks.....)

It's late and i've drunk rather a lot of cider: Are you suggesting they're doing well or badly in the voting?

I was trying to work that out myself.... (but I think FG might be implying that they don't have "that much " public support at present... (but then again I might be reading far too much into this...

That is exactly what has crossed my mind- and you can draw your own conclusions about what being low down the table on the judges cards may mean

This is how I think the public vote is going

1. Tuffers
2. Ricky Groves
3. Joe
4. Chris
5. Natalie
6. Jo
7. Ali'
8. Ricky W
9. Laila
10. Zoe
11. Jade
12. Craig

You could be right on that listing although I think Id put Joe possibly above Ricky G and Natalie above Chris.... but the rest about right.

In my short-established tradition of predicting the best dance of the night following the announcement of who's doing what, I'm really looking forward to Chris and Ola's jive.

I also think Craig and Flavia's will be interesting, as he hasn't had this kind of bouncy dance yet and it'll be the making or breaking of him.

I'm probably just biased cos the jive is my favourite dance

Has anyone seen that there seems to be a Lailarouass Twitter account (not totally sure if its authentic)... but in it she talks about the Jive.... so maybe they are jiving??????

Maybe Anton hasnt got the safe VW...

We will see later...

which would mean 7 confirmed jives so not a 6-6 spread...

Interesting. Cant wait for ITT and the training update later.

If he does get the VW then indeed it would have to be a conspiracy by the BBC to keep him near the top. But that will mean he will have to do the Latin dances later on which would be to his detriment.

BTW why when everyone is talking on SCD & ITT about his previous partners do they seem to forget that actually Patsy Palmer did quite well?

I wonder if zoe has VW. i know they showed her Jive dress on ITT yesterday but that could be for when she does the Jive in a few weeks time, they must design these outfits weeks/months in advance. I just don't know if they'd have to nerve to give Anton 3 ballroom in a row, all the pros have a prefered style, maybe Erin would have prefered not to do the Jive but she has to do it, this could cause a lot of unrest among the pros

On ITT last night they showed Zoe's Jive dress but then said 'she might be wearing a different dress' I dont know what that meant.......if they give her the VW that would be a mistake too as she hasnt done a fast latin at all.......Waltz, Rumba Paso Foxtrot.

Anway Laila and Anton are on ITT tonight so we will find out for sure...

The 7/ 5 split works better for a running order of Jive/ VW/ Jive etc and enables them to start and end on a high note music and energy wise so it may be that way on purpose??

Makes sense to me anyway!

Also the people doing the jive are much better off to get it out of the way- its proven to the downfall for many a celeb as we all know!

You really don't like him do you?
Every thread I go on I see you saying either his jive would be 'car crash' or he is being let off by doing another ballroom; when he is actually likely to lose out by this!

I know there were the issues last week [endlessly discussed elsewhere] but have you any other reason for your immense dislike of the guy?
