I've seen a lot of queries on these threads some good/ some bad about Dave Arch & the singers & some asking to know more about the Strictly band & singers.
There is everything you want to know about the band & singers on their website.
Here is a link telling you all about them.

It must be very tough to do so many songs each week with such a huge range of styles. I think they all cope with it very well and I like the blend of singers they have now.

I think some of the negative comments about singers on this show are very harsh.

They could be asked to sing a Queen Song followed by a Cole Porter number, followed by a motown song. It's not easy and I am full of admiration for the work they do.

I would like to see some of the singers' critics give it a try.

I think the band are fantastic- so many different arrangements to do. Loved Anton and Laila's foxtrot to "Just in Time"last night, and last week the Pro dance foxtrot to "Fly me to the Moon " and Vincent and Nat's paso " Malaguena " were outstanding.

The band is one fo the main reasons I watch. In fact I could not watch at all. Just turn the pictures off and listen and still enjoy it.

I've mentioned elsewhere that I believe the singers get a raw deal from some uninformed contributors on here.

The musical styles chosen by the producers are sometimes very diverse and many of the tunes selected are only suitable for the original vocalist's range.

All the best recognised dance tunes through many decades have a musical range of little more than an octave and a half. These thousands of well known and much loved tunes which have stood the test of time except with the BBC producer of this show, (think of any song Sinatra recorded as one example), are well within the capabilities of the band's singers.
However, they seem often to be expected to be "vocal athletes" when in my opinion, some forgettable choices of contemporary tunes are made.
