I get the feeling Christina was rewarded with what everyone thought would be a good partner after getting an older celeb laster year. It backfired.

I think the producers were also hoping for the romance angle, as she is one of the few single professionals, and she duly obliged.

Brendan and Jo do make a lovely pair, and Camilla would have done well with Rav, as she did with James Martin who was also around the same size (but more fatty than musclely to start off with).

Joe is the same height as Brian who Kristina partners professionally but he has a much larger build which makes it more the height difference noticeable, physically Joe would have been better paired with Natalie.

I would have loved to see how someone who is as driven to win as natalie would have dealt with Joe - somehow I don't think they would have been doing the horizontal tango

As far as professional pairings are concerned, I think putting Brian and Christina together was a huge mistake. I'd like to see her with someone with a bit more class, like Matthew Cutler.

Personality-wise, I think Natalie and Vincent are great together but I wish they would dress and make her up more in keeping with her age - they make her look far too old.

Natalie and Ricky W . They are not doing each other any favours , they are both full of themselves and both needed someone to reign that in
But they feed offf each other and are now becoming a real pain with their egos and " look at me " attitude .

Much as it hurts to say it Craig and Flavia - too quiet together and needs a more exhuberant person to bring them out of themselves. Agree about Natalie and Ricky W and Tuffers and Katya. I think Nat Cass and Vincent are a great match muchos flirtiness and they seem to get really well. Cola are really cute too.

I quite liked Rav and Aliona. Thought they were quite sweet. I'm definately in the minority there, I think. :P

The ones that sprung to mind when I saw the topic title were Phil & Katya. I just don't think they work well with their personalities. Katya seems to take it so seriously and I just can't warm to her, whereas Phil seems like such a fun, lovable guy. I don't think she quite likes his sense of humour as some of us do.

Bearing that in mind, I could see Katya working well with Craig. (No idea what height anyone is and whether that would dampen it, just going off personalities here).

I think Phil's personality would've worked well with Flavia, who seems a lot more laid back than Katya.

Just my opinion, of course.

All in the eye of the beholder, not everyone reacts to looks.....it's an intimate setting for all the couples and 'showmances' don't always happen between allocated couples.

Anyway it was a tongue in cheek comment in answer to Flavia's apparent change of personality this year and not the Gospel according to Strictly.

It has to be Laila and Anton for me. Even the judges are commenting on it...in a more diplomatic way. Len's comments last week to the effect that Laila was far more skilled than Anton's choreography was showing her to be.

Laila and Anton are very mismatched in their temperament I feel. She would have flourished with Brendan, and they would have looked great together too.

I don't think Natalie and Vincent look right together, hes too short. I'd have liked to have seen her with Brendan (although i wouldn't have liked to see him with anyone other than JO if that makes sense) and see if she loved it as much

I agree that Laila and Matthew would also have been good together. I do think Anton is out for himself more and his eye is on his tv career. One of the other men might have nurtured and handled her better. She does seem to have a lot of potential that's not fully coming out still. However, I'm looking forward to their VWaltz tomorrow which I hope goes well for them.

I completely agree about Anton (what a surprise ). I've always liked him but i think that was because he handled the duffers so well. Now hes got a good one i'm rapidly changing my opinion of him (and his dancing/choreography skills)

Their VW did look pretty darn good on ITT though.

I have to agree with Laila and Anton. I feel Laila would have gotten on better had she danced with Matthew Cutler this year. I remember someone saying last year that they wanted Anton to dance with someone good, so that he'd be in with a chance of winning. I've never thought that to be the case. Anton is very good at ballroom, but his Latin has always been rubbish. I feel bad for Laila for that reason. She's good, but not able to show off her potential as her partner's flaws outshine what she can do!
