Rachel and Vincent

Average Rank: 1
Place Finished: 2
Total: 573
Number Of Dances: 16
Average: 35.8

Lisa and Brendan

Average Rank: 2
Place Finished: 3
Total: 557
Number Of Dances: 16
Average: 34.8

Tom and Camilla

Average Rank: 3
Place Finished: 1
Total: 552
Number Of Dances: 16
Average: 34.5

Austin and Erin

Average Rank: 3
Place Finished: 4
Total: 414
Number Of Dances: 12
Average: 34.5

So Austin and Tom had the same adverage even though Tom did 4 more dances. Rachel had the highest overall rank followed by Lisa. I would have like to have seen Austin vs Lisa vs Rachel in the final but oh well!

Averages last year meant nothing...highly inflated scores all round.

Not always, I would say some of Lisa's dances were overmarked but it was generally okay. I would say Austin and Tom generally were marked befittingly aswell.

The only dance of Lisa's truely deserving a 10 was her showdance. Biggest laugh of a terrible series.

I agree, I thought last year with all the bad publicity was one of the worst years but I enjoyed it alot more than I have this year. I think anyway.

Never in a million years. I'm hoping last year was SCD's low point.

Agree with Buddy, but I was happy to see Camilla winning (even if I'm not completely convinced she won with the right partner).

I've got a list of the averages for all seven series - Rachel is 2nd, Lisa is 4th, and Tom and Austin joint fifth. Quite what that says is up to interpretation.

This series definatly is a step in the right direction, in both SCD and ITT .

I think what it says is that none of them were rubbish zankoku87 We can argue about scores and who was better til the cows come home but the actual result doesn't change...and that is decided by the public vote. It might irritate and infuriate at times but 'the public gets what the public wants' as Paul Weller said

Oh, that's a shame. But I guess we can't really compare as she did alot fewer dances and they were harsher with scoring.

I'd love to see Alesha, Rachel, Jill, Emma, Louisa, Lisa, Kelly etc and all the great people in one series so 10's would have the same rarity.

Can you post a 1 to 10 list?

I assume Alesha was number 1

I assume Alesha was number 1
1 - Alesha and Matthew
2 - Rachel and Vincent
3 - Zoe B and Ian
4 - Lisa and Brendan
5 - Austin and Erin/Tom and Camilla
7 - Emma and Darren
8 - Jill and Darren
9 - Colin and Erin
10 - Mark R and Karen

ETA: Ricky W and Natalie currently have an average score 0.5 points less than Mark R and Karen. Next week, they could well make it into the top ten.

I think he needs to get 36 or more to do so.

We worked out that if you took into account ONLY the second half of the series (up until Austin was eliminated), Tom did better. Austin didn't improve much from the start, and in some cases got worse! Tom improved consistently.

That's the point in averages - add the scores and divide by dances.

e.g.
33, 34, 36, 37 added=140 divided by 4 is an average of 35
33, 34, 35, 36, 37 added=175 divided by 5 is still an average of 35.

Up until Austin was eliminated,

Tom = 1st twice, 2nd 5 times, 3rd twice, 4th once
Rachel = 1st 3 times, 2nd 3 times, 3rd once, 4th twice, 5th once
Lisa = 1st 3 times, 2nd once, 3rd 3 times, 4th n/a, 5th once, 6th once and 7th once.
Austin = 1st 4 times, 2nd twice, 3rd once, 4th twice, 5th n/a, 6th once

After Austin's departure,
Tom got one more 2nd and one more 3rd
Rachel got one more 1st and one more 2nd
Lisa got two more 1sts.
It all depends on your perspective, Tom was never lower than 3rd except for once when he was 4th, Lisa was as low as 7th one week, Austin 6th and Rachel 5th.

Figures can always be manipulated.

For me the highlight of the series was T&C's show dance and despite what I think in general of series 6, it is my all time favourite SCD show dance.
