How do you tell..

How do you tell which channels the HDR is recording at any particular moment ?

Last Friday evening at 10 we were recording 2 progs. that were due to finish at 10 and had set another to start at 10. Presumably because one or both of the progs overran I got the recoring clash message flash up and disappear before I had time to digest it and take any action. I was then left wondering what I was actually recording. I think one of the channels was showing in the display but what about the other.

Press 'i' and you are shown which channels are recording and how far through the recording they are.

Press info and it will tell you in the top, left, corner.

If you press the i button you should get the recording icon in the top left hand corner of the screen.

Edit: I dunno you wait five minutes for an answer and then three come along at once

If you press the "i" button on the remote, you will see the recording icons up in the top left of the screen, so you can see what is actually recording on what channel, quickly. The circles are progress on how far they've got, i.e. one may be not much progress - just started, the other maybe nearly full - about to finish (it's usually this that has overrun, causing the clash). Quite usefull once you get used to it.

Quite often, if the overrun finishes within a minute of the clash, the "cancelled" timer recovers and starts recordng.

Edit : I was too verbose, so beaten to it

Rgds.

At least they were all the same.

Cuts down confusion no end.
