Australian Pink Floyd
BrainDrain
29-02-2004
Saw them last night in Cardiff CIA, didnt really know what to expect so I just went with an open mind.

They totally blew me away with their note perfect renditions of classic Pink Floyd songs, they played Dark Side of the Moon in full as an opener, complete with a sublime and scarily good Great Gig in the Sky (brought a tear to my eye), the backing singers were top notch.

A good light show is a hallmark of a Pink Floyd show and they didnt disappoint, apparently they use part of the lighting rig that was used on the Pulse tour, complete with big shiny globe at the end of the gig.

You can tell these guys (and girls) eat, breathe and sleep Pink Floyd and the vocals and guitarwork were breathtaking similar to Gilmour and Waters.

The sound quality of the PA is the best Ive heard in years, the CIA has awful acoustics but they managed to produce a simply stunning sound quality with clean, tight and body shaking bass with crystal clear vocals.

If you've never seen Pink Floyd and wondered what it would be like (if your a fan) then go see them, you wont be disappointed, this may be your only chance to hear the great band ever.

Off The Wall are another very good Pink Floyd tribute band - well worth seeing if you get the chance.
