I have just got an iphone and i am trying to find out where it stores the files when it records from the microphone.

Any ideas?

They are in the app. Tap the button on the bottom right. When you sync the iPhone to a computer it will put these into a Voice Memos playlist in iTunes. You can then right click on these files and click show in finder to get the actual file.
