Made up for her! It's so good for her as well considering theres no video yet for the song. It is a really good club banger song. Hope it does well over here too.

So am I! I'm very happy she is back on top but '3'

If You Seek Amy went unnoticed and was far cheekier.

I think 3 is one of her worst but it's still better than your average clubby song. Hopefully it'll go top 3 over here!

It's definitely one of her catchiest and best, totally deserves to top the charts, and it's done amazing to do it so quick.

Just read that it'll be the first track to go straight to the top in 3 years and the first track not related to American Idol to do it in 11 years!

Well Done Brit. 2 Full Albums and a Singles Collection since the worst times, plus an amazing show tour! I reckon the comeback that a lot of people never thought possible (Myself included a little bit to be honest) is most definitely complete now!

So happy for her.

I agree this time two years ago people was saying she was over after the whole head shaving and Vmas but I'm glad she proved everyone wrong. I hope we get a tour DVD because I can't see her touring again any time soon, she wants to raise her kids without the hectic schedule.

Never saw this a number 1 hit but im glad. She is having more success now compared to how she first started out in terms of peak positions.

It has taken her about 10 years to get 2 US number 1's.

nearly 250,000 units sold- that's really, really good for a single. I'm very pleased for her.

For some weird reason, whereas she is definitely seen as a singles artist in every other country in the US it's her albums that have always done well (all no1 there apart from Blackout) when her singles haven't. Strange!

That's true. Her albums are selling less but her singles are selling more. Used to be vice versa

Coicindence (if that's how you spell it)

Song is called 3 and yet it's her third number 1.

This is fantastic news, I agree with tge above post her comback is now officially complete, I have always loved britney and get music her tour was amazing, 2 years ago people though britney would die so young but she had proved you can go through a lving nightmare but then come out on top I'm so happy for her. And she always comes across as so kind unlike other stuck up celebs. Britney you OFFCIALY rock!!!

Look britnet has such a HUGE fanbase not only in USA but around the world!

If you see her twitter page it has around 3.5million followers, 3 debuted at #1 on hot billboard 100 yesterday

Most of her followers on twitter much have bought it straight away as the itunes link went up

The thing is even if britnet releases a really bad tune it will still go #1

Woop!
I'm ready for whatever the next album is. Though I really hope it's more "Britney" and creative, and has more of her own stamp on it. She's really talented at creating melodies and writing songs, it's just a shame that her label and management prefer it if she just dances to robotic vocals.

Just as proof she actually has musical talent and there's a reason she's lasted so long in the business.
Unreleased songs like Baby Boy and Let Go are some of my faves of hers. I think the world is ready for a more personal Britney, we've got enough songs about sex.

She got to No.1 cos of sales. Brit hardly gets radio airplay in the usa, so this no.1 hit is testament to her fans. Meet me halfway will be Number one soon, if not next week than the week after...

She had to have solid airplay too. She's already in the top 20 at radio and is still rising really fast. Her sales are still going strong and with a rise in airplay she should be set for another week or maybe more, but there are a lot of new releases soon. Both Womanizer and Circus made it to the top spot at airplay.

And I don't think Meet Me Halfway is a good enough song to make the top spot, the chorus is weak, nothing compared to I Gotta Feeling or Boom Boom Pow.

Except that's not true. 3 of her many singles went to number 1 in the last 10 years. So that theory doesn't really work.

Also "most of her followers on Twitter have bought it" the math don't work. She has 3.5 million followers and sold 250,000 units.

Fact is it's a new song. Britney has gained a new fanbase these last 5 years. Tour is doing extreamly well. Albums are selling well. Britney is on the up!
