A thought re: guest stars / entertainment on SCD

Hi guys,

Have a look at this great segment that they had on Dancing With The Stars in the States in 2008:

Now, I'm biased, I'm a huge fan of Riverdance / Lord of the Dance etc, hence I love this.

But here in the UK on SCD we never seem to have anything really different like this as our entertainment segment? It's always a 'star' of some description belting out one of their hits (not always wonderfully) while some of the pros dance about - it's always the same thing.

Could we not have some 'different' stuff here on SCD? Not necessarily a Riverdance demo (though I'd love that), but there must be other kinds of dance that could be showcased occasionally instead of having tired old acts on at times.....?

Sometimes they do. I particularly liked Craig Smith and Natalie Wood's performance last year-outstanding. And the dancers from the musical Chicago did a fine guest spot too.

I always love the "Macey's Stars of Dance" segents each week, and they seem to have gotten even better this series .

The Lion King one a few weeks ago was breath-taking, and showed how much better the DwtS studio is in comparision with ours.

Whenever Claudia goes behind the scenes at SCD it always seems very precarious the set, and that a slight wind and it will all come tumbling down. On DwtS they managed to make use of nearly all of the studio, and I especially like at the end when they finished in the centre at the top of the staircase where there was a small gap in between the two lights (btw am I big fan of the curved DwtS staircase too, very stylish and looks less likely that you'd fall down it).

Beats the hell out of those sodding tap dancers they stuck us with last week.
