I think this is ugly, looks stupid.

For most women size 14 and up, this is the narrowest part of the torso, so I suppose if they want to wear a belt it's got to be under the bust.

Best not to wear one at all, and just thank God for smocks or tubular knitted dresses.

I dip in and out, i only wear those that fit me and suit me, i don't get the padded shoulders, you just look like you have extra thick/long shoulders , i don't feel it's a good look.

I am still wearing leggings, i said i would never wear them, but i have quite a few, and i am always wearing them under dresses, are leggings in fashion still?? *looks*

I've come to realise that for all I'm interested in fashion I don't really buy what's in. If there are fashions I like I'll wear them (i.e the 60s look that was popular late 2003 and of course boho in Summer 2005) but mostly I wear what I like and suits me - my style is quite classic. I don't like all these leggings with bright long tops/dresses at the moment - not me at all.

I quite agree, FF. I'm actually a bit miffed at the return of 80s fashion, as I've recently lost loads of weight, and the 80s style isn't the most figure-flattering, so I think I might give this trend a miss.

I pick and choose what I wear that's fashionable...which probably makes me look very unfashionable lol
I love ankle boots and tunic tops with skinny jeans but as I'm in my 40s I wear the tops with boot cut jeans. It looks great with a blazer or a tailored jacket and scarf.

I quite like some of the 60's stuff (mostly early 60s though, I wasn't keen when things went A-line). The Jackie O stuff was great, would have loved one of her Channel jackets.
I was in my teens in the 80s and loved the New Romantic look but like all fashion revivals only the worst of the 80s has come back to haunt us.

What was there in the 90s we have to look forward too? That was the start of the Rave culture wasn't it? Pudding bowl haircuts and wiiiiiiide legged jeans for men I recall

I am an avid follower of fashion, I love it. But that doesn't neccesarily mean I will always wear it.

Anything I wear, I wear because I like it. I try and make it as on trend as possible but if it's not then it's no problem, I wouldn't wear something I didn't like the look of whether it is in fashion or not.

In defence of the girls mentioned at te start of the tread, alot about fashion is experimental, trying something new. People won't get it right all the time.

Of course i'd do what the title of the topic/thread say's. I'd pick dressing as a "Sheep" any-day over being a so called Emo

Have to agree here, I love nothing more than flicking through the fashion magazines, but it doesn't mean I wear it, mainly because it doesn't suit me! I find it shocking walking round seeing larger girls wearing leggings with short tops, or tiny mini skirts, or things the wrong size. I'm a size 18 myself (I've been cursed with an hourglass body, it may be 'desirable' but trying to find clothes that have shape in this day and age is apparently impossible...I'm only 20 how old do I sound ) but what I do find is flattering on me, and as an added benefit I (apparently) always look good, my housemates and friends often compliment me and I'm often the 'glamourous' one of the group. I have to say I find this revival in 80's fashion bizarre, its so unflattering and I'm seeing a few strange outfits around and I don't understand why anyone would want to wear them? Especially the flurescent stuff

Mostly, I like the clothes that are in fashion. But if I don't (wet look leggings, maybe?!) then I'll steer clear.
