Re Anton: To Err Is Human, To Forgive Divine
Bonnie96

I guess that makes Laila divine (ain't that the truth ) and Anton is after all only human with all the traits that go along with it.

I just wanted to have a thread on here for those of us who accept that what he apparently has done ( and apologised for more than once ) while not being the cleverest comment ever made is not the worst crime ever committed either.

It was not directed at any of the posters on here nor did any of them witness it and I wanted the chance to say that without bumping up a tired old contentious thread by doing so.

Good Luck to Laila and Anton in the competition - your Foxtrot last Saturday WAS DIVINE

Aren't they doing a jive next? I don't think they'll be first this Saturday.

Possibly/probably not but to have performed as they did last week with all that was going on deserves a lot of credit, I think.

I loved their foxtrot and I love Laila too, I hope this doesn't taint their run on strictly but it probably will. Either that or the judges will overmark to keep them in, making the public despise them. :| *Sigh*

i THINK the BBC are rigging this series or trying to as I think Anton is avoiding latin again and will be doing VW as his Jive would have been car crash TV is this the BBC ensuring he is around for another week and what a disgrace that the pro who can't dance latin is doing 3 ballroom dances in a week

In all fairness I don't think Anton can tell the BBC which dances he wants to do each week, it's not his fault. It's going to be much worse for them later on now if Laila cannot pull of the latin and everybody knows latin isn't Anton's forte.

Sometimes to forgive is expedient - especially if you want to boost your profile and stay in the competition for a few more weeks.

The foxtrot was indeed divine - roll on the latin.

I am not entirely sure if Laila was doing the forgiving entirely because of her wanting to boost her profile. After all, she seemed quite weak in her latin dance. And let's face it, jive was one of Anton's most unlucky dance (according to the man himself), so this week we might find them in the dance off. So to 'forgive' just to stay for possibly another week or two, that's NOT going to boost any kind of profile for all intents and purposes.

I really hope they do well on Saturday - looking back at some of Anton's other jives, they are ok, just not as fantastic as some of the other pro's (his jive with Lesley was fab, despite his hat!!)

Ummm, unlucky dance?
I supppose he did exit the show with Leslie and Patsy on that dance, but I think thats it.

Its his best latin, thats for sure, although he aint bad at rumba either.

Samba is the worst of his dances. They've always seemed to be ripped apart in the past.

How does Erin do in Latin, generally?
I only saw her in series 6 with Austin and although they went out on a Salsa, the judges' mark for it was 36 - not half bad at all (their Latin average was 34).

I never had a chance to see Anton doing Latin last year obviously, since he went out first dance with Gillian, but to have gotten as far as he has in dancing at all, he surely can't be a hoofer?

I can't help going off Anton. The P word that he used must be in his normal usage of language. You just don't make a mistake by saying that, unless it's normal for you. I never have, nor have I heard any of my friends say it. I just look at him as a differnet sort of person now.
