I dont really see a great connection with a lot of the couples this year though, and dont think they are getting anywhere near the amount of flak that Flavia gets.
![]() Joe and Kristina for instance on ITT the other night didnt look at all comfortable to me...Kristina was balancing on the edge of her seat and I got to thinking why no one was picking up on this when they are supposed to have this great big love affair going on....and yet Flav and Craig look perfectly at ease to me and are getting slated from every other corner. I realise too though, I can be incredibly over sensitive when I see post after post of negative critisism towards her, which is exactly what happened here. ![]() |

Don't like Kristina as much. Like Ola more. Erin a bit less but that's probably just the naff hair. Used to quite like Darren but he isn't ageing gracefully. Ian Waite more - he's underrated and would probably be a laugh down the pub, not too "up himself".

Having a good connection/chemistry between the celeb and pro partner is not so important if the celeb is a pretty good dancer, as they will already be attracting votes from the primarily "dance" fans.
For the rest, to attract the primarily "entertainment" votes, emphasing the fun/personalities is the way to go, and so a good connection/chemistry will keep bringing in the votes, rather than just fading into the background. |

Lots of people are criticising Ricky W and Thingy for not having any chemistry. And dance ability isn't garnering him as many votes as you'd think.
The anti-Ricky and Natalie L comments on here are probably not representative of the views of the mast majority of the voting public, just look at any of the polls on here. |

I did look at the poll on here.
They are almost joint least-popular couple! And we are fairly representative. When it gets down to the final I reckon the public will put ANYONE above Ricky W. I'm open-minded at this stage but he is attracting a lot of criticism. |

I agree with there does seem to be a large anti-Ricky feeling at the moment, but we'll get a better idea of how representative this is once probably Craig and maybe one of the Joe(s) are gone.

Surprises>>>Ola....I thought she could be a bit moody before, but she is amazing with Chris this year and very supportive hope she goes far.
Erin>>>same thing thought she could be a bit moody and stern, but she has proved she can get the best out of any celeb partner and that makes her an amazing teacher. Dissapointments>> Flavia....one of the best dancers by far,but hasn,t got the personality for a show like Strictly. She is comming across as very serious, and not much fun,and cannot seem to bring out the best in her celebs. Lets hope she gets a sportsman next year, and then we can see her really sparkle! |

You`ve obviously missed the Ricky W and Natalie threads.

Aside from Matt, Flavia has had two no-hopers and possibly the most terrified celeb I've ever seen on Strictly. She's an exceptional dancer, and with the right material to work with, a very good choreographer...but she ain't a magician
She does seem very quiet, but considering the amount of noise that comes out of less talented people on the show, I find it quite endearing actually ![]() Maybe next year Flav

I'm going to surprise myself here but I'm liking Vincent this year - all the time he doesn't return to the italian stallion routine and that silly eyebrow thing that will continue. Still not a great fan of how he's dealt with issues in the past but thats the past.
Again I'm another one who's going off Kristina - perhaps she's a one trick pony (ooops, reminds of me Vincent) and she's been rumbled. |

Does it translate to the dancefloor? Not really but Craig isn't a natural dancer and turns to jelly when he gets out there. Maybe both would have done with a bigger personality to bring them out of themselves but they aren't the worst couple to grace the dancefloor in SCD. I do think some people find it easier to pick on Flavia because she's a less 'look at me!!!' than the other professionals, I've always liked that about her though. I do think she, along with Lilia have been really unlucky with partners, in that where they have had ones which aren't good, they also haven't been particularly famous or had huge personalities that win votes either. In comparison, Kristina has had a national hero and practically a comedian (that said, a good one for her next year please).I've not really gone off anyone. Actually Anton a bit but not necessarily for his faux pas, just because he's right getting on my wick for some reason! I am liking Brendan more but I wonder if I'm being manipulised! |

I've gone off Kristina in a big way. I feel that she's courting publicity by whatever means possible and I don't like her partnership with Joe. I feel she tries to compensate for his lack of ability by doing a lot of posing herself and I don't find them entertaining.
I've gone off Anton as well (and not because of the race issue). Len isn't annoying me as much as usual - probably because ITT is no longer 'The Len Show'. Let's hope it stays that way when the number of couples are reduced. Was neutral on Ola before now but really like her with Chris. Really disliked Karen Hardy when she was dancing but I love her on choreography corner. |
