Roaming charges, o2 Breaking EU laws?
I have just come back from holiday, and upon checking my o2 bill I notice that I have been charged £3 per MB for data roaming.
Am I not correct in thinking that the EU imposed a cap of €1 per MB as per this article? http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/8010352.stm If I have interpreted the article correctly, does that mean I would have a case against o2 to recover my additional costs? cheers |

I appreciate that the costs are states in their contract, I guess I am asking if perhaps the contract terms are actually in contravention to European law and in such a case therefore nullified by the law?

The €1 is the wholesale price (the price that providers can charge each other), not the retail price.
