International DWTS pros you'd like to see on Strictly
I'd love Mark Ballas, Julianne Hough, Louis Van Amstel and Edyta Sliwinska from US DWTS to come over. I think they would mix up the competition a lot with some innovative choreography.

Mark Ballas, Lacey Schwimmer and Chelsie Hightower are the only ones that stand out to me.

Definately Derek and Julianne, Edyta, Chelsie and Lacey!!
Maksim could ruffle Brendans feathers as Alpha Male if he came over too! |

Maksim could ruffle Brendans feathers as Alpha Male if he came over too! I think Mark Ballas would be good. He seemed to be competitive but never quite take himself so seriously. His choreography has always been creative but he's not a bad boy, i.e. breaking rules for the sake of it. He worked within the rules, so I think he'll fit into the SCD family very well. Only problem is that he might become the rival to Brian Fortuna for being the cute American Boy, so producers might think he's too 'samey' to Brian and so not ask him to join the SCD team for that reason. Then again, I don't see any of the American pros coming, because they are probably paid much better there, and the committment to SCD is much longer in duration compared with DWTS. I would like Cheryl Burke join the SCD family too. But seeing how competitiveness is seen as a virtue in America, I think if she's too keen she might become the next Natalie L here in the UK as well. |

Maksim will be vilified, like Brendan and now Natalie L, because he might be seen as overtly competitive and cocky.

I don't care. He's gorgeous!
Thing is, he might be badly manhandled here by his very 'active' fans if he's not careful (if I recalled how some posts here talked about how they would 'do' things to him if they see him here in the public). He might need restraining orders issued out to someone every other day if he's allowed into the UK.

I'd quite like to manhandle Maksim too
![]() grrrrrr![]() Having said that, the routines on DWTS might just be a little bit too much for a UK audience ![]() Especially if the muppets are included

Tony Dovolani.
I fancy the pants off him. Whenever he smiles down the camera, I'm sure it's meant just for me. |

Yup, he's always good with his celeb partners. He has that 1950s look about him, and yet could still carry off contemporary routines like the DD pro dance he did in DWTS. Indeed, Dovonali could have a broad appeal, both to the old and the young(ish). Gosh, if he's indeed in SCD, we'll have THREE male dancers with Italian blood, plus Flavia the female pro!

Tony! Forgot about him (great choice, Sid)! With a real and exotic last name (unlike the other Tony here peferring to call himself Du Beke!
), he could be appealing to our UK audience. Not at all similar to Brian Fortuna (so would not compete with his fan base), doesn't appear to be as sexy as Maksim but man enough to compete with the likes of Brendan or James Jordan. Maks, Maks and .......uh.......Maks! Although I don't know if my blood pressure could take him live on British tv.
![]() ![]() But then knowing SCD they'd give him somebody like Blanche or Rita from Coronation Street to dance with. |

I feel like Tony isn't appreciated enough on DWtS, he kind of fades into the background. Maybe it's because he's a little older. I wouldn't mind him over here.
![]() edit: Mark seems a popular choice here so far.. |

Personally I adore Derek Hough and Louis Van Amstel so either of them to replace Anton please! Mark Ballas is also rather fit. Maks is too similar to Brendan and James for me. Of the girls, I like Kym Johnson and Chelsie Hightower.

To be honest, I struggle to put names to the faces of most of the DWTS pros.
Is Maks the one who partnered Mel B and Debi this year? If so, don't like him at all. |
