Ive just finished watching last night's ITT (got a day off today..) and my word - Zoe Lucker, thinking she's so bad when she actually knows she's so good.

Dont get me wrong - I used to like her, and still do and think she's an amazing dancer, but its her attitude that puts me right off.

Anyone else feel the same?

no what she is saying is she doesnt pick it up well, theres alot more drama queens there

No- she is no more a drama queen than the rest who can't get a particular dance like Laila last night.

Zoe has not been confident from the start really so no surprise that she is struggling to be confident about a dance that is not one she likes?

Each to their own opinions tho!

I think some people underestimate how hard it is to pick up the dances so quickly for the show. Many of the celebs also don't really know how the dances should look, so of course they're going to be self conscious and a bit worried.

I think Zoe is great, she seems a very nice person, but has a problem remembering her steps. I think James is a talented teacher and will have patience with her. I have loved all their dances up to now, fingers crossed for another good routine this weekend.

I have a bit of an inside line to Zoe, in that a work colleague of mine is friends with her and sees her pretty regularly. She says Zoe just has that very self-deprecating sense of humour, so anything she says about being rubbish is probably just her being hard on herself, rather than a bid for TV sympathy.

I think she's just not totally confident in herself as a TV personality in her own right, rather than as a character on-screen, and isn't really sure how to handle it. Some people do it naturally (Natalie C), some people are paid to have on-screen personas (Chris, Lynda, even Bruce if the rumours are right!), but if you don't really like the publicity spotlight to be turned on you as a person, it can't be much fun in the SCD goldfish bowl.

Anyway, inside line or no, 'drama queen' would be a long way down my list of adjectives.

I would so like Zoe to win James said that she needs to believe in herself.

Zoe's been doing it since week one and it rubs me up the wrong way too.

I wish she'd just be honest and admit she's got the hang of a dance one week instead of pretending she's rubbish at everything.

When learning to dance, there are 2 types of students - the ones who pick things up almost instantaneously, and those who take ages to learn.

A lot of teachers find that the first group forget things as quickly as they seemingly learn, whereas the 2nd group, once they have learnt something, manage to remember it .....

Zoe is clearly in the second group (I know the feeling!).

[Think the 2 types of 'learning' is probably relative to just about anything, not just dancing?]

I like Zoe very much. I just wished they had partnered her with someone else then she would definately be my favourite.

Laila does it too - lowering expectations for the jive when it will be perfectly ok

I'm normally sceptical about the humble humble grumble routine, but in Zoe's case, I think it is genuine. Though it might get tiresome if she's saying the same in three weeks after consistent 30s+.

To contrast with the act done badly, see Mr R Whittle...

I suspect 'drama queen' is probably a compliment to an actress.

Zoe is unconfident in her dancing ability that's all. I live with 3 people with dyslexia (married 1, gave birth to the other 2). They all have a crisis of confidence regularly & I see many similarities with Zoe's lack of self esteem.

Does Zoe have dyslexia ?
I wondered if she did myself , as I see a lot of my traits in her , like the taking ages to learn the steps and not being able to go backwards in a car

I think she may well have in which case well done Zoe, I would struggle to rmeber a list of dance steps , even when peope give me a list of instructions where to go in a car I can never remember more than the fiirst 2 or 3 !

I don't think Zoe's a drama queen but I haven't been able to warm to her and I don't know why!

My thoughts exactly. I think Zoe genuinely struggles with learning the routines, and therefore deserves credit for working so hard to get them right, and for making them work so well on the night. Good luck to her and James.

Drama Queen or not, I thought her thing on ITT tonight looked really good, quite sharp....and I'm an Ali and Brian fan!

If she was incredibly confident and talking herself up no doubt she'd get criticised for that. She can't win with some.

I agree that rehearsal on ITT was fantastic. Can see a ten coming their way...and I'm a Chris and Ola fan.
