Just wondering if everyone could give me some advice on the best (cheap) clamshell camera phone available?

It's my sister's birthday coming up and I want to get her a new phone, but can't really afford to spend loads.

Even if you can just give me suggestions on the phone to look for (instead of saying a specific place and price) that would help since I know a lot of places I can look, but just don't know what I'm looking for yet!

Hey, it wasn't five, it was only three!

I sold one of them as well, so I've only got two now. I don't really fancy giving her a V600 or a P900...

theres a *cheap-ish* sendo phone othere there. there is also te Samsung a800 that is £90 in V.Shop at the moment.

(only thing is that both dont have a camera lol)

the moto seems the best and then just upgrade the firmware to the v600 and then boom its a better phone

There was a Sagem camera phone available on PAYG for 70 quid or less quite recently. Can't remember the model number, unfortunately.

The Samsung a800 could be a possibility, but I'm not sure I want to buy another Samsung after I got screwed over on their promotion...

Any more suggestions are welcome!

You'll need a flash and a flex file. I've got both if anyone needs them, though are loads of links on where to get them on HowardForums.

You'll also need a data cable. You can get them on e-bay for around £3 + P&p. The ones that are compatible with V60s, etc are fine.

You'll also need to download a program called PST. This comes with the flashing software called Multiflash.

I updated my V600 software using it already. Only take about 10 minutes & it's amazingly easy!

Be warned, though, occasionally things do go wrong (like a power cut during the flashing process) and you could end up with worthless paper weight instead of a phone.

Rarely happens, just thought I'd let you know it was a possibility to remove any liability from me!
