I had to do a double take and then realised the presenter was Claudia. She looked so different. Her eyes looked a little red, so may be she couldn't take her normal eye make-up and if so, how brave of her to be seen without her "trademark" face.

Claudia posted on twitter she ran out of fake tan & will be back to "normal" on Monday, lol.

Surely people can have pale skin in this country without being thought of as 'looking ill'.

If she has an eye infection she has my sympathy - but maybe that stray strand of hair - the one with a mind of its own - is to blame?

Nothing wrong with being pale, but unfortunately television lighting is fairly unforgiving and most people look better on screen with makeup.

I thought Claudia looked unwell, poor thing. If Claudia's fake tan had run out, this would not have been a problem as she'd have just been made up as normal by the makeup people. I suspect there was a health reason. The dark lipstick was just too much of a contrast I think.

I don't think it was the skin.
For me it was the eyes. Weird. Perhaps her medication? If any...

I think Claudia was possibly just trying a different style. There is a rule of thumb with make-up, you can emphasise the eyes or the mouth but never both. Looked like she was going for the mouth look instead of the usual emphasis on the eyes? Whoever said the lipstick made her teeth look yellow may want to check the colour quality of their tv set. It certainly didnt, but the shade was just a little harsh for her tones.

Claudia didnt look particularly pale to me either - bear in mind I had read this thread first, it's all relative ) but her eyes didnt suit the white eye-liner (at least I think she was wearing white eye-liner ).

Im sure in a natural light, Claudia looked stunning still. This was evident last night when she was filmed from certain angles.

She's got a strong look and she's highly individualistic.
But I've read interviews and she seems quite insecure.
We get used to seeing her one way.
If you analyse it though she does hide behind her hair and her body language isn't great. She curls up and has lots of little self-deprecating movements that seem to say, "I'm not worthy." She puts herself down a lot.

Perhaps she decided on a change of look and then lost her nerve because she seemed more highly-strung than usual.

Claudia is always pale, pale is fine. The problem was the lack of eye makeup and the overly painted, dark, lips.

The foundation looked very thick as well, and not enough blusher, or something.

It is a different style, some may like it, some not. I thought it didn't suit her and was a long way from her usual style.

A little less eye makeup than usual, and a slightly paler and warmer lip colour than the one she wore yesterday, and a touch of rouge, would have been easier to wear, I think.

What she wore yesterday did not come across as 'natural' to me - in fact it reminded me of middle-aged women's makeup in the seventies: flat matt foundation and powder, just mascara and too dark lipstick. But perhaps that's coming back into style again now. I hated it then though, and I haven't changed my view.

But we were all saying how wonderful and healthy she looked up to yesterday. Remember all of them have make up and style people 'advising' them. I wonder was she persuaded to go for that bizarre look on fri and also that ridiculous outfit on thurs by some new stylist.

She may have been bullied into a new look and wasn't comfortable with it. Who knows? That Thursday-thing was an abomination.

I hope she has a good chiropodist. Silly girl in those silly heels.

Mutton as lamb

I was browsing here during last nights ITT and I was rather relieved it wasn't just me that was a bit at the make up. Claudia's a gorgeous woman, but that was a bit OTT. Thought my eyes were playing trick at first.

Hope she's back to her best on Monday.
