Black Eyed Peas - Hey Mama
Steven L Hunter

How come the version of this song on the album is different to the one on the TV & the radio? Is there anyway to get the radio version?

they played rice and peases other songs, 'shut up' and 'their 1st song' so many times the bastards bored me to death.

The four-track CD of the single has the video on it.
Isn't the version on a single usually the single/radio version unless it says "album version" (which it doesn't)?

Brianlion - I've heard all three of their songs so many times I'm bored to death with them too.

Often the album and single versions are different. Also radio sometimes "plays around" or "edits" (or slashes it so there is more room for adds, however you want to look at it!)

As Glen says, it normally named the "Radio Edit" on the CD single, if youre not sure, ask them to play it in Woolies, or whereever. I hadn't noticed much difference myself, perhaps they've just cleaned up the swearing have they?

Liking the tune, loved "where is the love", but I wasn't as wild about "Shut up". I think this one could go either way though, I could end up loving it, or it could end up annoying the hell out of me , excellent beat and bass on it, but some of the lyrics could start to annoy. I'm sure he sings "sh*tty of sin", instead of city at some points in the song.

Hey Mama is proving to be the sort of song that people who did not like their previous stuff will love this!

That song is slowly starting to drive me mad. It has been played to death for weeks on end by radio stations and music video channels.

Everytime it comes on, I get the urge to want to throw a large projectile at the offending speaker emanating this music.

AARRGGHH!!!

I think Hey Mama is the only Black Eyed Peas song that I could say I actually like... no doubt that will change by next week after it's played to death on the radio.

Sign up to Kazaa (P2P sharing) You will probably find any number of versions. Most stuff on Kazaa is also free to download and the quality is usually very good. I download loads of stuff from there.

Oh sorry

I stand corrected. Do you know a better free one (sorry that that sounds like I am being sarcastic - I am not)

Any good sources of free to download good quality music would be well appreciated.

Ta

PS Do you have copyright on the ' Pile of Shiite in the gutter of a ho'bo ' line cos I thought that was well funny !!
(and I would clearly never infringe on copyright)

They are not 'free' they are illegal copyright infringed versions which could land you a hefty fine if they found out... as many people in the US are now finding out.

I know CDs are expensive, but with the onset of the official web downloads at a reasonable price theres not longer that excuse.

There maybe official web downloads but they are far from perfect - and many of them force you to use a certain configuration (e.g. Windows or Mac) and also have lots of restrictions on how you can use the files (e.g you cannot copy it to anyone else, you cannot burn it to CD, you cannot convert it to another format, you cannot transfer it to your portable music player etc).

Also you are being ripped off too - it's not CD quality as such as is only as good if not worser than the stuff you can download off Kazaa. I think people are being ripped off by using these legal download sites.

I've no problem with the quality of the stuff I've downloaded from mycokemusic... and there are ways to get the music onto my mac and thus iPod from these DRM's files, but I won't go into it as it's probably not a sensible thing to discuss in a public forum.
