With the emergence of 'Happy'....puts Leona way above Alex, IMO. Beautiful song and beautifully done. Alex is still great though.

Leona is far more talented imo and is regarded as a top talent.
Alex is good but i don't think she is as a strong singer.
I hate when everybody says Leona is boring. She is just not the loud type.

It's like Simon said on the XFactor, about having a personality means being too big for your boots, cocky and arrogant, then Leona is a perfect 'boring' person. She's sweet, kind and really reserved, although she's opened up a lot more over the last year... I just hope the incident the other day doesn't knock her confidence!
Regarding Alex, I loved her on the X Factor, and while I didn't want her to go down the same sort of route as Leona, I was not expecting something like Bad Boys. I still really dislike the song and there's only 1 or 2 songs on her albums I actually like. I can't believe Dangerous is only a BSide, that is how I was hoping Alex would go. A Bit more rock-RnB, a little like Rihanna. Oh well, I guess they can try new stuff on Album 2.
My final point, if we had these two artists establish themselves without the X Factor, would we be comparing them all the time? Probably not. I just think it's daft, Leona and Alex have different ranges, tones, and personalities. There's nothing to compare really, apart from that they're both Big Female vocalists, they have totally different styles.
I personally connect with Leona more though, but it's all about opinion and preference.

Same here, I connect with Leona and her music, but I appreciate Alex, she is amazing in her own way. Not a fan of Bad Boys but I'll never say never to getting her album...after a few more singles I may be swayed.
both amazing, leona vocally i think is better - don't know who will be most successful - think they both deserved to win and are very talented!

I was only comparing Leona's without you to Alex? I never said Leona had great breath control either, just better than Alex.
I think Leona did a better version of Without You. Must say I hate the song though. For me, Alex sounded far better on "I'll Be There" and "The First Time Ever I saw Your Face" than Leona did.
In general I much prefer Alex. She is the first X Factor contestant I have really liked.
