When do they learn percentages?
I taught my class at YR 6 (i.e. 10 and 11 years old). There are questions on percentages in KS2 SATs when kids leave Primary!

What is the basis for this comment?

Are you a teacher? If so that really is scary.

If students don't learn percentages until A levels, when do they acquire a knowledge of calculus etc.

I did percentages at primary school, so I very much doubt it's true. Fair enough, I did my A Levels coming up to five years ago, but I refuse to believe that the education system has changed so dramatically that percentages are taught at least seven years further down the line than when I did them.

I rather suspect PorkSausage is having a pop at the popular subject of the state of the education system in this country.
