I guess it would be v expensive to repeat.”

If it was so expensive to air repeats would Watch repeat DWTS?? (or even screen it in the first place)

I have Sky+ and the other week when the snooker ran over my box still recorded Never Mind the Buzzcocks which was shown 30 minutes late but on Saturday the box recorded the times stated there I got loads of talking and totally missed the results section of Strictly.

Wasn't it repeated until they went to the Sunday results show.

I'd defo watch the the Sunday repeat, can watch for stuff you miss first time around. Don't live in the country so can't watch on iplayer.

The first time I had an error message telling me something had timed out and the second time my whole netbook froze.

I have given it up as a bad job I think.

Luckily I'm off work this week so will be able to watch on Saturday.

All the performers, song writers, copyright holders etc. There are strict rules about broadcasting repeats of live performances with respect to royalties. I can't comment on DWTS, but I would imagine that there are different rules for broadcasting on satellite or cable channels, and possibly for foreign shows too.

Series 3-5 were repeated in abbreviated form (i.e., with the benefit of cutting out Bruce's inanities) late on Sunday afternoons / early evenings. By series 6, iPlayer had arrived on the scene.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but if you don't pay the licence fee, but just happen to live close enough to the UK to pick up the BBC, you're not really in a position to moan about the lack of repeats. You're already quids in!

People in Ireland do pay a tv licence, 160 Euros or £147.

Are you sure? In Northern, Ireland, yes, but how can that possibly be the case in Eire?

on sky+ boxes you can set it up to record upto 10 mins before and after the show printed times. I'm sure there is a suitable DS thread here somewhere I was able to watch the show but yeah was close!

That is correct and mine is set for a 5 minute over run but last Saturday Strictly was around 20 mins delayed.
