Lifts

Is there a new rule allowing lifts? I know in the first show, Len told Rav and Katya that they shouldn't do a lift in the first show but then I have seen quite a few since then. (Phil and Katya last night, maybe Zoe and James but that may not count) I don't mind but I get the impression it isn't necessarily a level playing field as there are people that won't do lifts just because it's in the rules but everyone else is doing them!

I'm not an expert but I thought Zoe and James' was a drop/drag type thing.

I think Zoe was supposed to be touching the floor as she was swung round. Kristina's looked more of a jump than her being supported by Joe.

As long as one part of their body is touching the floor, it's not a lift.

Sometimes we end up with accidental lifts because they get a bit over excited and the toe comes off the floor.

What Kristina did last night was a jump.

Zoe's foot kept contact with the ground so i presume thats not classified as a lift, i didnt even see Phil's lift so cant comment on that

I screamed slightly but only because I don't think it was a deliberate lift. I think Phil made a mistake at the end of the routine and lifted Katya as a consequence of the mistake ...

... but I could be wrong.

Thank goodness I wasn't the only one. I came home late last night and watched it on the iplayer and couldn't believe that none of the judges said anything!
