I wish one of the others would call him out on it. Bruno would if it was SCD I think, but in some ways (while not snogging Donny Osmond) he seems a ever so slightly more demure on DWTS.

If Brucie goes he should take Len with him.”

No, Len is excellent. Last year he allowed the jet lag to get to him and was a bit grumpy but he seems to have that under control this year (not surprising as, since Arlene's sacking, none of them can feel all that safe!). He is a good judge and I can really imagine him being a good teacher, I remember having lessons as a child and the teachers were like him - though Len is not much older than me but I mean they were of his calibre. Len is smashing.

I cannot believe that the only 6 Len gave was to Craig and Joe. How Lalia got a 7 is the biggest mystery asked this year.

Its all about saving their favourites. If her next latin is rubbish she should go.

I've found Len (so far) much better this series.Last series I would gladly have said get rid of him.Of course its early days yet may all change. The judge I really think should go is Bruno

In reference to the 'you need to polish your balls' remark to Phil. I actually like some of these little quips he makes in reference to what the celebrity is actually famous or in some cases 'famous' for. In Phil's case I basically think that Len was implying to Phil, that technically he is fine, all the steps are there and he's executing them well but in order to get the same sort of marks as your Ricky Ws and Lailas and Zoes and in the case of this week your Jades, you need to refine the dance by finishing lines, making sure your feet are closed, heel leads and coming up on the toes (i.e. the balls of your feet which I also think Len meant to advise Phil) hence the double statement of advice to Phil to 'polish his balls'. I don't think he meant it in bad taste at all.

[QUOTEI think Bruno is being stricter this year to make up for the missing Arlene. It's funny seeing Craig and Bruno agree with the scores, it's barely ever happened before.
QUOTE]

I had been thinking the same!

I don't think he should go but him overmarking drives me crazy. He is supposed to be a proffesional and Alesha scores are more accurate than his!

His constant rolling of his eyes when Craig reveals his score before him drives me crazy - such patronising arrogance.

(IMO Craig's marks are the only ones of noteworthy fairness and all the pro dancers know it.)

He marks too high.

It was partly on his recommendations that the voting be changed so he gets the final say (cue Bruce "I know its irrelevant but lets hear Lens vote" and his opinion again etc etc nearly every week) in a 'dance off'.

A dance off that is totally flat, boring, repetitive - particularly at the end of a long show and predictable (Zoe versus Joe? mmmm I wonder?)

Unlike the excitement of an instant revelation of who is going home- as of the earlier series - and I know it was because it was turning into a popularity vote but I feel this is the reason it has lost its way - it should be a popularity vote with the most entertaining dancers and personalities staying on longer rather than the boring, even if they can dance, good ones.

If you want a dance competition then just have the professional dancers on - they are more famous than the current celebs anyway?

So yes I would get rid of him.

He's another got too big for his boots. When SCD started he was funny and refreshing . Now he is overbearing not very funny and thinks he is the reason we all watch
He can't believe his luck that he has gone from a nonentity to recognised on both sides of the atlantic.
I'm not saying he should go, but I think he should be reminded that the dancers are the show, he's solely there to give scores and, if necessary, a short opinion.

Definitely true.... Len's attitude to Craig really irritates me. Craig is the only judge whose opinion is worth having and the one that all the dancers and slebs are most thrilled to get a decent score off.

There's usually one or two of those as well

There are a few judges out there who could do a better job Im sure than Len. He believes he is untouchable. I find he gives high scores when the others give low and gives low scores when the others give high. He is the classic attention seeker. Its getting old.

Last year, Len was really annoying me. Far too many grumpy moments and too much direct innuendo to the women. He seems to have toned it down a bit this year. so far...

I'm divided on this one. I actually love Len, he seems so lovely and he often makes me lol, but I do think his marking is outrageous sometimes. However what does it really matter in the long run? It's our votes that ultimately decide who ends up in the dance off and as long as the final leaderboard is roughly correct, I don't see the problem. I had a bit of a moan about Laila recieving the same total score as Chris on Saturday but on reflection he maybe only deserved a couple more points, but otherwise the leaderboard was about correct IMO! Craig will usually mark fairly to even things up!

But most of the pros choreograph to impress Len, not Craig.

He loked a bit past it tonight doing the samba in IT2.
I've mentioned elsewhere, when he speaks he reminds me of Mr Hodges, the air raid warden in Dad's Army

Len we know gives a more generous score, but he can be so changeable ! Never forgiven him for marking Rachel an 8 in last years semi final for her American smooth, saying" it wasn't a Foxtrot Vincent " All the others said it was fine, but that mark caused the tie, which resulted in them all going through. And last year he said a lot of the jives were no good, yet this year he's been quite approving of them! Wouldn't want him to step down though-he would be missed.
