Converting .ts files with VLC
Hi all. Can anyone help with the following. Have just removed the Seagate HDD pending upgrade to a 1TB drive. I have a recording on the default drive which I can play where the drive is connected to a Sharkoon docking port and is hooked up to the PC. (It's running "Mint") Ubuntu variant. VLC can convert the ,ts file and I would want to burn a specific recording to DVD. As I am not sure how to go about this or the most appropriate format to convert to.

Just convert to a mpeg2 programme stream file which basically only strips out the non relevant extra info from the transmission stream file like prog info headers etc leaving the original mpeg2 data
This probably isn't the best way to do it but it saves me the time of converting to one format before Nero converts it again for DVD. |
