.... is my suggestion to replace Bruce.

Interesting choice. He also can do the humour angle too.

He could also do "anton is my long lost brother" instead of "Anton is Brucie's love child"

I've just suggested Julian Clary on another thread but I could live with Rob Bryden too. They're both seasoned comedy pros who could shoot back if a judge or competitor went over the top as we saw last weekend.

Ooh no, don't apologise - it's an inspired suggestion.

He's a master of the put down, but somehow always manages to sound slightly disingenuous and inoffensive.

He'd make a brilliant MC.

Fab suggestion - I remember when he guested on ITT a couple of years back and he was comedy gold.

Just listened to a discussion on Simon Mayo re. Strictly vs. X-Factor and there was agreement that Brucie's time was up. Also the 2hr 20 minute marathon is losing viewers.

Rob Brydon may well be interested , but may not want tying down for 3 months and more .

Keith Barrett - he'd have a field day with this years' canoodling couples.

Inspired suggestion! I never used to really be bothered by Bruce but this season he really is pushing me to the limit. I've managed to cut at least 30 mins off the "marathon" by fast forwarding any segments that have him in it. I find him so cringeworthy.

Any suggestions for who would replace Tess? She's so insincere she makes me want to throw things at the telly!!! To be fair though, she does do a good job on the show it's just her fake smile and over the top niceness that grates on me.

The woman who played Gayle Tuesday page 3 Girl. Was a foil to Paul O'Grady. Brenda Goolsomething.

No,wait. I've got another one. Pauline Quirke!!! She's mad about Strictly and she's perfect in other ways. Forget all your boring stereotypical blondies!

hmmm who could replace Tess, I think Gaby Roslin could be better.

Kick Alesha upstairs to co-presenter, where she could let her personality loose again - impossible as a judge, and replace her with Karen Hardy? Alesha along with Rob Brydon to keep her honest, that would be a good pairing.

What have the Beeb got against Karen Hardy? Or what has Karen got against the Beeb? So many people suggest her on various threads and we can't all be wrong.

She'd be great as a judge. Alesha would be a good replacement agree but why don't we get away from the always has to be a glamour girl/ex singer etc. stereotype altogether?

Alesha cannot possibly be allowed to present anything until she improves her grammar.

Rob Brydon would be great. If we were bored with one of his alter egos he could wheel out another!

But I like the idea of Julian Clarey too. Either would keep the judges on their toes!

And both Rob and Julian would dare to extract the urine from Alesha about her grammar until she caught on. We would have fun watching it.

Brydon would be a good choice.

For the female position, what about Carol McGiffin?
