School of rock

sounds good to me!

Hosts: Julian Clary, Alesha Dixon
Judges: Craig, Karen Hardy, Len, anyone but Bruno. Not sure about Brendan, though of course he has done the job on antipodean TV.

I don't think that Anton is good enough to front the show and also now too much of a risk. He is also a bit too silly; I have yet to see him be serious.

Judges: Craig, Karen and Len. Bruno should only be allowed back if he stops standing up and screaming out his comments.

A better quality of competitor. There are too many boring soap actors here. They aren't very interesting as opposed to some of the other individuals who have taken part.

Please no Alesha Dixon.

Terry Wogan and Kate Thornton

Judges: Craig, Len, Karen, Camilla

Pros: Get rid of Aliona, Natalie, Kristina, Brendan, Anton, Erin and bring in some new faces.

Get rid of all the judges (they are now, bigger than the show) and get in some pro dancers very few folk have heard of as judges.
Get rid of Tess coopuls Daly & retire Bruce (Maybe Alesha could be the eye candy? She wouldn't have to say much)
Have less competing couples so that the show isn't a marathon
Weed out the pro dancers... Anton can't do latin so get rid ditto Brendan (too up himself)
Try and get celebs who people have heard of.
Get Claudia more involved as well as doing ITT.

More changes ? they finally had a look at fans' ideas and look what happened !!!!!

I really really want it to go back to a maximum of 12 couples , 10 would be better.
Each could dance a Latin and Ballroom before the first exit .
I am firmly of the opinion that the quality of competitor has decreased as the number of couples has increased.

I also think the media slant on SCD may well be off putting ; Sue Johnston refused this year for example. The constant search for sleaze and affairs; the way the Anton fiasco continued and continued and even now the chances are the truth is nothing like the papers have suggested ;the supposed infighting etc

Get rid of the Private PR the BBC employ to punt SCD ( mentioned by Kelvin Masckenzie on Newsnight)

Stop the hosts , whoever they are , making jokes of the private lives of pros and celebrities . I personally don't like it .

Karen would be excellent as a judge and if Bruce is retiring , then I still think Aled Jones is ideal . He is an ex competitor , he has a very quick wit and is well used to working live .

How about the pros rotate from one celeb to another each week? The emphasis would then be on the dancing rather than "chemistry". The pros could easily do it and the celebs just dance the steps they're told to. This would also mean that we don't miss out on seeing our favourite pros once eliminated.

Bruce out, Wogan in.

Tess out, then either Fiona Bruce, Natasha Kaplinsky or Kirstie Young to do the post-dance interview. They're all fine looking women, who could ask some decent questions.

Marking to be split technical merit and artistic impression.

Marking out of 100, to avoid ties.

Random drawer at the end of each show for the dance to be danced next week.

How much newer do you want?

New host - Terry Wogan or Aled Jones
Female Presenter - Alesha Dixon
Judges - Craig, Len, Bruno, Karen

Don't want to see any of the pro dancers go. Also like having more celebs (more weeks of SCD is a good thing in my house )

The saturday show split into two. I didn't like the Sunday night show but having a break allows time for tension (therefore emotional investment) to build.

If i could only change one thing though it would be getting rid of the co-presenters. Its getting beyond a joke now how embarrassing they both are.

At a push, I'd accept keeping Bruce to get rid of Tess. Close call though, and both should be boiled down for glue a.s.a.p.

Paul O'Grady to host. Tess can stay .

Get rid of Bruce and Tess, and promote Claudia to the main show. Norton or Barrowman to host.

Len and Alesha to be replaced by 3 professional dancers/dance instructors/choreographers (we need an extra judge so we don't have any more of this "head judge has the casting vote" nonsense).

Ban rehearsal VTs featuring celebs' cute babies or tearful grannies.

1. Add Karen Hardy to the judging panel.

2. Go back to 12 couples with all dancing together from week 1 and dancing a ballroom and a Latin before anyone is voted off.

That's all for me.

Male Host - Bill Turnbull
Female Host - Alesha Dixon

Judges - Craig, Len, Karen and Camilla. In th event of a tied vote use the public vote as the casting vote

Scrap the dance off when it reaches the two dances per couple stage

Hosts: Paul O'Grady and Kate Thornton

Judges: Craig, Len, Karen, Bruno

If they are going to keep to just a Saturday show, please split it so that we don't have 2 and a quarter hour marathons.

Edit: agree with footygirl's idea re: tied voting.

No don't say that. I'd have to change to sticky backed plastic and everyone knows its not as effective!

Male Host - Gethin Jones
Female Host - Alesha Dixon

Judges - Craig, Karen, and two others - don't know who though.

A break between the contest and the results show, like they used to do.

“Norton to host.”

No, no a thousand times NO!

Have to agree with the above. Additionally, if Bruce were to go I also would back the call for Terry Wogan. He's an amiable, experienced man who could do the job in his sleep.

Tess has signed a contract of more than one year. So I'm afraid those who want her to go will have to wait! This is the role that Alesha should have had, in my opinion.

Most of all I'd like the BBC to stop the over-promotion of SCD. The more energy it expends doing so the less like a feel-good show it becomes. Surely a nice balance should exist between competition and cosy, Saturday night entertainment? It's gone from one extreme to the other and I for one would love to see it go back to the heyday of series 3 and 4 in terms of tone.

Absolutely .
I think this is what Kelvin Mackenzie was talking about when he said the BBC have to stop the PR pushing of SCD .

Presenters - Gethin and Alesha
Judges - Craig, Karen, Camilla and Len.

I'd also like a return to a max of 12 couples, the split saturday show and the return of Strictly Confidential to ITT

2 shows, one performance one results show.

Performances Saturday 7-8.30. Results Sunday 7-8. Both entirely live.

Have It Takes Two follow both of these shows.

Sack Len and Bruno. Have Craig, Karen, Brendan and Camilla as judges.

Sack Bruce and replace with Gethin or Aled

Sack Tess and replace her with Alesha.

12 couples with the celebrities on variable pay. I'd prefer some bigger names.

Pros...

Lilia
Flavia
Katya
Erin
Kristina
Darren

Matthew

+ 2 new dancers.

No dance-off.

Since the Beeb love to find new west end stars for musicals - how about searching, in the spring/summer, for a new male and a female SINGER for the next series of SCD?

Meantime, make it a rule that half the dances MUST be performed to instrumentals - and traditional music used.

That way, the singers do not have to learn 12 or 14 songs, instead a more reasonable 6 or 7. A male and female singer could alternate the vocals between them. Any rising star would LOVE the chance to showcase their talents on a prime time live show. If the public help to choose the winners, a CD of the best songs would be a sure fire winner for the Christmas 2010 market.

"I'd Do Anything?" - let's have "Strictly Can Sing!" and find us some new musical talent.

I don't think you could ever have Brendan and Camilla on the same judging panel, they hate each other. I think the others would wade in in protection of Camilla.

Also, Brendan is like marmite, either loved or hated and I don't think he's held in the greatest respect by the other dancers, so they'd show his views very little respect. His ego is also rampantly out of control as it is, really don't want to see him on the judging panel, sorry.
