One fisting joke over ten years ago. Time to let it go.

That said, when he presented the Lottery quiz a few years ago (with Newsnight's Emily Maitliss as his assistant) he did seem rather hesitant and unsure of how to pitch himself for an early saturday evening show.

I think that would be more of a reason why he shouldn't do it rather than a few innuendos.
I agree and I didnt mean just one 'fisting joke' but in general that type of gag
His natural pitch is adult entertainment.
Having said that he is great as a voice on 'Little Princess' -currently on Milkshake.

This is the best idea yet apart from having a live results show on Sunday. This would mean the dancers and celebrities would be working seven days a week for 10 weeks! A bit tiring for them which would make it possible they would get worse instead of better.
I know, I was having serious issues with where to position the results show. The problem is The X Factor. I don't think the clash is benefiting Strictly whatsoever as it is. If BBC1 try to schedule a Results show in the middle of it (rather than being connected to the main show in an 'all-in-one' package) I think it'd get swamped.

The only other thing is to go back to last year and record it on Saturday night and broadcast on Sunday. The viewer's would be there - the fact it was pre-recorded didn't seem to affect ratings that much. I know it wasn't well supported which is why I tried to avoid it before.

Stop the audience from happy-clapping along with the music, it almost makes the programme unwatchable.
Apart from being annoying, it must affect the dancing because the audience clapping is out of time, and never on the beat, it sounds and looks moronic.
If the clapping along must remain, in some misguided sense of creating atmosphere, then at least could it either be mixed at lower volume compared to the music for the tv viewers, or ideally, be totally absent when watching at home.
The show would be much improved if it could be like the old days of Come Dancing, when viewers could enjoy the music and the dancing without that awful clapping racket.

Hosts: Aled Jones and Julian Clarey
Judges: Craig, Leg, Karen and Camilla

Costumes: Add someone to the team who can design for the larger / older figure.

Reduce the number of contestants and up the profile.

Bring back the Sunday results show.

Get to grips with the scoring system. Stop the dance off in favour of a professional dance. I would rather watch one absolutely brilliant dance than two poor efforts for a second time.
